It was just a stupid promo action for the local Internet service provider (is74.ru). They also gathered these people to sign the petition "please introduce a $15 unlimited Internet plan". Although they did not collect enough signatures, they still introduced it.
Also, they promised to hire a plane to get rid of the clouds (which would not help anyway - google maps will never add just a 500×500 meter shot to their maps if everything else is covered by clouds. They also promised that you'll be able to see the shots on Google Maps the next day - which is also a blatant lie. This ISP already had a terrible reputation for cutting the optical cables of its competitors, and now this.

This isn't about the memory card not being set to zero, it's about an executable stored on the card that is ran by the machine as the card is read, modifying the results as they are being read.
It is not the substance (Vitamins, alcool, gazes, caffeine, whatever) that makes a poison, it is the dose. This dose is substance dependant (ie, 50 g aceminatophen will get you a lethal fulminant hepatitis, 50 g of alcohol will get you drunk)

It's been a long time since anybody at Microsoft had a complete knowledge of the whole windows source code. The code is now so messed up that nobody at Microsoft knows it all.
I wonder, supposing it's released, if anybody could "get it all" and lead a team to work on it. It would take decades to understand this code. It would'nt be a spare time project.
This gnome thing is good, but the code displayed behind in the 3rd gnome screenshot is windows api code! You can clearly see the line "GetDlgItemText(hWnd...".
I'm a french canadian and many people here in Quebec have the same concern about their language. But I don't share their opinion. I think that the main purpose of a language is to communicate and have other people understand you, not for keeping your identity. Maybe some wars would have never been if everybody would have spoken the same language.
Maybe this is a bit rough, but I do think that soon or later, everybody will speak the same language and that will be perfect like that.
