    What about the time that Scott Peterson was charged with double homicide (as a special circumstance) because Lacy was pregnant and yet an abortion is NOT murder? What is the difference between a late term abortion and an early preemie? (the love of the mother). What do you do to stop the aborted "fetus" from crying?

    In what nightmare do you want us to live, where the lives of tiny children can be snuffed out for the convenience of those that are too stupid to properly use birth control?

    Every four years the meaningless dance takes place and things just keep getting worse for most of us!
    Under the Repubs, we got "pre-emptive" war, suspended Habeas and Guantanamo Bay.
    Under the Dems, we got "indefinite" detention and nine trillion dollars given away, plus other outrages.

    IMHO, it's all a SHAM, a BULLSHIT shell game to quiet the unwashed masses!

    Has anyone bothered to calculate + or - X the mass of a Dyson sphere? Even a ringworld would require the consumption (IMHO) of a solar system (or two).

    The idea makes for fun scifi but it's just rediculous to think that anything like this could exist.

    Very, very advanced civilizations may have FTL travel, but they also may live in log cabins and ride horse analogs.

    If you actually had to work, night after night, day after day, with NO PEACE! Moving did NOT HELP, talking DID NOT HELP! I had moved for the LAST TIME! The noisy little rat fuck should be praising god that I did not rip him apart like a boiled chicken!

    I lived in slums for the first twenty five years of my life and as a very quiet person (apparently the only one) in uptown Chicago, I had many altercations with assholes who thought that I wanted to listen to their bullshit music at top volume at one AM and later!

    I tried working two jobs to keep me away from it and finally moved into what should have been a quiet bldg, it wasn't down the hall was a drunk named Julio who owned a stereo with an automatic changer, and one 45 RPM record that he looped all night with his door open!

    The landlord, yelling, nothing helped! One night when Julio was passed out (with his door open) I walked in, oped his window and threw his stereo down six stories to the ally below!

    The best part was nobody saw me, and the little shit accused me and made the mistake of attacking me in front of witnesses! Oh joy! He had to move out after he was released from the hospital!

    I HATE noise makers!

    IMHO, battles in space between necessarily huge craft would be very boring to watch, missiles, energy weapons, rail guns etc, at HUGE distances!
    It will all boil down to who gets off the first crippling hit and of course who has the most massive armor.

    Space battle; Enemy detected, fire control computer launches attack, bright flash, battle over.

    Feel free to "hate" me, but honestly I don't see any reason whatsoever to "upgrade" from XP, I tried W7 and really couldn't wait to get away from it!

    I only keep a WindowsXP partition for my wife's TurboTax, once a year.

    My neighbors wife has recently been forced to get a Moto Droid4 by her job, she is mid 50's with a college degree in (somthing) and she told me that she could hardly use it at all! She also has a new (ish) laptop PC that she uses with no problems. Her husband, my old pal Niello only plays Solitaire an answers email.

    Not everybody wants/needs a "smartphone"!
