If anybody on earth actually had one one hundredth of one percent of that much money, they could hire hit men to rub out every member of the RIAA.
And with a fraction of the leftovers, pay a bunch of polititans to make it legal to kill RIAA members. Personally I wouldn't mind having to go get a hunting license for this cause.
If they know the addresses to all these domains, why don't they just forward all the domains to a goverment controlled server? last time I checked, the DNS servers call the shots.
Kiddie porn is illegal so they can find just cause. I know it's drastic, but damn, individual ISP's shouldn't be forced to filter access. Most ISP's are struggling just to keep afloat as is. people in PA will just get the nation-wide Long distance and dialup to NY or California for that matter.
I think that we should develop this as infra-red, then release open-source plans to the enemy in green then go out in the field and pick em off one by one. The green lasers would point out the location of every enemy when they fire.:)
screw you, I'm just one of the aparent few who dislike paying 1000 bucks for a 100 dollar monitor. This is the reason america is so f'ed up financially. get your head out of your ass and stop backing them up.
I think the point is, that maybe we shouldn't be paying that kind of inflated price.
I have a perminant back injury because I can't afford to get an LCD. I had to use a huge tube based trinitron to get the clarity I needed for graphics dev.
won't work. they need to enable it. the whole reason they like cable so much is: 1. they can cram 30 channels into one compressed stream on a channel (and drastically kill the quality, bull crap it offers better sound. I have yet to see a SPDIF out on a box that's enabled). 2. they have instant control over what you are allowed to watch on what. (dont pay your bill and wait for it to go off... then call them, pay with a credit card and see it spring to life with a auto box re-boot) it used to be that they had to send out a tech to un-plug you.
and if you read into the article, vpn(nat, and proxy) is illegal. it enables the customer to conceal how many people are accessing the network through a single node. you state this yourself: The downside of course is basicly is the fact the ISP have rights to see how we network our homes and offices and scan what ports we are using to make sure that we are following the agreement.
so how long does it take to figure out that you mount a pinhole cam or 12 on the opposite side and reproduce an image of the area behind the car. not only does that make the car invisible, but it would work for his tux, even the license plate.
Heck with 'skinning' found in most video games, a genaric car could be made to look a little like a porche or in the bad part of town, a toyota.
I'd like to see nascar use this to update sponsors on-the-fly as they bail from the tail car to back up the lead car.
so they(the lawmakers) scream that we should use something like IPV6 which allows enough ips for everyone to have a unique IP. then it becomes law. noone is prepared for this and the internet becomes illegal except for those who can afford to pay for Internet2.
wow, max headroom was right. we will have to pay heavily for all our knowlege. Damn, and I was getting used to know-w-w-wing things.
...convert some of the paper bills into gold coins, and go swimming in money next.
Hell I would...less papercuts.
System Administrators has a nice ring to it.
More syllables than most of my customers can deal with, and it gets the point across.
No offence, but is this a slow news day or something?
ya, it'll be retinal scanners and 'decks' before we know it. I know lan parties will be a hell of alot better then.
Whatever happened to the consumer grade retinal scanners? charmed has the closest thing I can find to that.
my fav is still the 'chevy nova'

Crap. They figured out the plan.

Now I wish that the CNN headline news was a joke too!
It ususally is, in quality that is.

Unless it's green
How does one do a port scan? Rufees? Beer?
ya, 20 FPS, only you need a cablemodem and flip through the screenshots REALLY fast.

true, but my point is that microsoft claims (under oath) that that is not possible.
