Yes, I believe the building of intergalactic highway could cause our planet to be obliterated:)... and since none of us has checked or complained to our regional intergalactic highway office we have to get our act together very soon and leave the planet:)... though the dolphins & the whales are still here... so doom is not yet imminent haha... do you have your towel ready?
The real news here is a guy on slashdot with a girlfriend? No way??? Oh please do post it:)... if that's not an imaginary girlfriend like most of us that is:)... we'll call it anything you want:p
no one likes to admit they were wrong... and they are asking the same court/people to admit they were wrong the first time... very unlikely to happen... though I guess they can always appeal that judgement if all fails
they had a very interesting concept called "internet time", they even came out with watches that displayed internet time... no time zone, only a number between 1 and 1000... each unit would be about a minute, each 10 units , would be 1/4 of an hour, each 100 units, about 2 hours... could have worked... never caught on though.
as one person posted already, do you really want your day to change in the middle of the day?:)... though it would be fun to say let's meet tomorrow, later today:)
actually many theories exist that life originated from a collision with an asteroid that had the building blocks of life... if this is true then you could argue human life is extra terrestrial in origin and thus the original terra forming program is already spreading to other parts of the universe through out the years
my first documented use of the word dollar being today when I said enthusiastically, "oh a dollar sign... how cool would that be if every one paid me a dollar every time they used the word dollar";)

apple has always been acting very nice to criticism so far, never threatening to sue commentaries it did not like... this is so out of character :)
