But the RIAA is a perfect example of why many people around the globe have the feeling that most of the USA is full of nut-jobs!!

You know talking with people from other first world countries they never seem to indicate that the US is hated or disliked as much as you would read on here. They dont always agree(of course) with us, but i have never heard nay of them say things like this. Believe it or not, people from outside they US actually like the US! Not all of course.. but you get my point. Perhaps the biggest critic of america.. is america.. which is probably a good thing :), I just wish people wouldn't say things like the world hates us.

why? i graduated in march with a BS in CS (math minor too). with a 2.5 gpa, no references really or any industry experience and only applied for jobs online. Now in june i'm an official software engineer making good money. The irony is how much i listened to slashdot's gloomy idea of the real world was considering doing something else outside the computer industry because there was no jobs for me (as you would believe by reading slashdot). Not that it was easy for me to get this job, but it wasn't the only response i got to my resume. Course I also think I got pretty lucky.

So my personal advice is to try and do what you like and not get disappointed over being rejected. And I think people in masses tend to be pessimists.. so take what they (slashdot) say witha grain of salt.

Warcraft 2 was great but no one compares it to anything after starcraft was released. C&C was pretty overated IMO, same with TA.

Maybe the majority of voters was wrong, maybe not. unfortunatly, we'll never really know, despite what so many people here already think.

Those of us living on Earth are interested in the comparison, because we're using our brains to vote in a couple of months.

Yes i'm not on earth. I'm on mars right now. Quite lonely i might add, the beagle was supposed to say hi, but i never even saw it :(. Oh yes and all interviews are turned down because they don't care. I'm sure. You can assume that if you want, i guess, i think that's quite faulty resaoning, since you have no reason to believe that, other than you want too. Actually i'm not using my brain to vote, using i think a bubble sheet, unless it's changed. I will use my brain to figure out which bubble i need to fill in though.
