As a Wisconsin native, I can assure you that things run very smoothly compared to most states I've lived in, and if you read the article you can see that it took almost no time in all to put this through. We're generally very pleased with our politicians (as much as that's possible with politicians). We even have one of the few congressmen to vote against the Patriot Act.
How about actually reading the GP's comment without inserting your own bias about where he's from or how he feels about his homeland before having a damn aneurysm? Or at least grow some balls and don't post AC when you blow your top. Saying that Chinese commerce and politics operate a certain way does not mean you're saying another country does not operate in similar fashion, unless it is explicitly stated. Assholes like you who flip out unprovoked are ruining this site.
First off, if you feel the need to try and contradict someone, have some balls and don't post AC.
Second, if you own a Xbox 360, turn it on and look through some of the games offered in the indie section. It will probably take at least two hands to count all the different "massage games."
I seriously doubt the majority of English language speakers would translate it that way, regardless of the cost of Red Bull. If you have an empty carton that previously contained eggs, would you call it an egg carton or a carton of eggs? A can of Red Bull suggests that the can contained Red Bull.
If you don't mind being military for at least four years, are an American, and don't mind getting payed considerably less than the average programmer, enlist as a programmer for the Air Force. Hell, you can even work on a Master's degree for free while you're in.
I feel the exact same way. As a senior developer, it drives me crazy when I'm repeatedly asked simple questions that could easily be answered through research.
Let's get this straight; you're finishing what I'm assuming is your associate's degree since it's at a community college, will soon be attending a university, and got your first internship. You think you are some sort of expert on social networking and job finding now? Best laugh of the day so far.
I see where you're coming from, however we'll also be forced to take care of those unwilling to take care of themselves. People may think I'm an asshole for thinking this way, but in my opinion if you're not willing to take care of yourself, you don't belong in the gene pool.
I don't think he's referring to this bill exclusively; he's referring to the general mindset in the US that it's fine to let other people take care of you.

There is hardly anything less efficient than the military.
Which you're obviously helping by posting on Slashdot on a Friday morning.
Any banks other than USAA feature this currently? AFAIK, USAA only accepts military members, prior military members, and families of military members as customers.
If you would be so kind as to look back on elementary school US history, everyone here except the Native Americans was a social reject or "terrorist." If said third world immigrants are properly registered as citizens and are paying taxes for the benefits they enjoy, what right do you have to be here over them?

They're shiny!
Yeah at least in Wisconsin they didn't have the crazy mud-slinging ads about microbes.

Thank you. It's ridiculous when several years after its release, a brand new high-end system will still not run this game at 60fps consistently.

After all, it's rather stupid to mention an attack by a "can" if the contents weigh twenty times as much as the can.
Did they say she was attacked with a RedBull can, or a can of RedBull?

You might as well calm down because you're arguing over the realism of a fictional character.
I DON'T CARE about the legality of ops carried out on foreign soil.
And this is why the rest of the world hates us Americans...

It's really difficult to get through to the good stuff.
Not really, you can skip past the junk and look at IGN's top picks, some contest winners, the top rated games, or the top downloaded games.
Yeah, but how much money do you get payed for games you write for that?
If someone watched Spy Kids 3D and doesn't have kids, he or she should probably not be on slashdot.
Well unless the treaty rights have changed, had he been accompanied by at least two other individuals he may have been recognized as a war party.
