    We don't use voting machines in Iceland - and blank ballots are counted separately from those that are faulty and always reported on.

    I would say any other way is very undemocratic.

    Abstaining from voting is not an expression of anything but lazyness.

    Showing up and handing in unfilled ballot is an expression of opinion - and sends out a message.

    The message is to people thinking about running that there is room for new people and to the people in charge that they are not doing a good enough job.

    Most unlikely that Americans will be as careful as the Swedish - they will probably outsource it to the lowest bidder - who ends up throwing it in the ocean somewhere in South America.

    heh, maybe.

    Shutting down the computer at random intervals is just evil.

    Yes I downloaded the RC client - no, I didn't read the fine print, Yes I have the full version - No, I don't have time to reinstall everything.

    Going on vacation in a week - Need my desktop computer running so I can remote into it without any foreseeable problems.

    Thought I had until June to do a clean install.

    which sounds promising but of course they should have an official way to do this.

    No official way to upgrade + random restarts + surprising fineprint = evil.

    Shouldn't you be allowed to give companies access to your medical records if you choose to do so ?
    Either for access to said product/monetary incentive/common good (medical research)

    Of course they should no be able to access it without permission - which I'm pretty sure they do not have (depends on which country)

    Why not embed a small tracking device in the guns you require people to carry.

    That way if somebody doesn't have a valid tracker or if they break the law - it can just start beeping - then everyone can just shoot the freedom hating terrorist.
