    Audiogalaxy have since mended their ways. The current installer asks if you want to install any of the spyware (1 at a time) and doesn't if you say no (I checked this with adaware).

    In the past they did install webhancer without asking.

    Fortunately you can turn off that "feature" but for some bizarre reason Microsoft turn it on by default. It caught me the first time too. I've never used WMA since.

    Artists don't need the megaexpensive recording studios. These days, most anyone can set up a decent studio for a relatively small investment

    Agreed. Look at this unsigned Swedish band Machinae Supremacy. Fantastic music with no help from a mega studio.

    These broken cds are perfectly rippable. Just not in the 1 click and it's done way we're used to. We just have to go back to the old fashioned methods for a while until the ripping software catches up.

    I think you might need to download the demo to see just how silly your post is.

    Uplink simulates movie and TV style hacking. IE. Not realistic hacking in any shape or form. This style of hacking is fun.

    I remember from the earlier article that Australia was concerned about being able to hire prostitutes. Do your thing and then beat them up for the money.

    It's probably a good thing they didn't realise you can wander around, beat someone up for their money, kill the paramedic when he arrives, steal the ambulance and then mow down prostitutes by the dozen. All in the privacy of your own home!

    Make a fuss about it. Create webpages that tell people how to change their nameserver. With examples obviously.

    If you're talking about home PCs why would they be unable to change their own DNS servers (Apart from a lack of knowledge)?

    They don't. The cd has a data track that contains *very* poor mp3 copies of the songs in a single big file and a crappy player.

    :) I wasn't saying it shouldn't be a bare knuckle distro just that might be keeping it down compared to other distros in popularity. Of course that's the beauty of Linux. There's a distro for everyone :)

    I haven't used Slackware for years although it was in fact the first Linux I ever installed. I found it quite unfriendly at the time compared to other distros I later sampled.

    Has it changed or is it still a "bare knuckle" distro?

    So a joypad that lets you react quickly would be helpful
