Audiogalaxy have since mended their ways. The current installer asks if you want to install any of the spyware (1 at a time) and doesn't if you say no (I checked this with adaware).
In the past they did install webhancer without asking.
Fortunately you can turn off that "feature" but for some bizarre reason Microsoft turn it on by default. It caught me the first time too. I've never used WMA since.
These broken cds are perfectly rippable. Just not in the 1 click and it's done way we're used to. We just have to go back to the old fashioned methods for a while until the ripping software catches up.
I remember from the earlier article that Australia was concerned about being able to hire prostitutes. Do your thing and then beat them up for the money.
It's probably a good thing they didn't realise you can wander around, beat someone up for their money, kill the paramedic when he arrives, steal the ambulance and then mow down prostitutes by the dozen. All in the privacy of your own home!
:) I wasn't saying it shouldn't be a bare knuckle distro just that might be keeping it down compared to other distros in popularity. Of course that's the beauty of Linux. There's a distro for everyone:)
I haven't used Slackware for years although it was in fact the first Linux I ever installed. I found it quite unfriendly at the time compared to other distros I later sampled.
Has it changed or is it still a "bare knuckle" distro?
And at the university where I work the academics decided that the teaching language for freshmen should be Visual Basic. The first year failure rate for that module was 86%. God help us all.
Bill said to let you know that the cheque is in the mail.

You might also like to read Pokey Bootlegs. In honour (apparently) of the original masterpieces.

Install XP. It comes with IE6 (You can't refuse to install it). Guess what comes with IE6?
Does anyone know how to detect Bonzai Buddy and remove it? Adaware doesn't seem to list it.

I'm sure that's from MST3K the movie. Don't know who Rick, Cthulu, Dan and Frink are though.

Agreed. Look at this unsigned Swedish band Machinae Supremacy. Fantastic music with no help from a mega studio.
http://machinae.2y.net/But with mp3s you're compressing the crap out of the music anyway so does the line-in quality loss really matter that much?

Arseholes to the lot of 'em. Screw the record industry. I'm stealing all my music from now on and spending my money on books.
Hmm. Seems like I've annoyed someone.
I wonder if they'll continue to waste mod points on me.
The Awe64 and 32 had soundfonts also.
I think you might need to download the demo to see just how silly your post is.
Uplink simulates movie and TV style hacking. IE. Not realistic hacking in any shape or form. This style of hacking is fun.

That would make sense. Then they'd have more room on their desk for bombs, Dilbert day planners and the heads of the hated American Devils!
UK Dreamcast owners got our Shenmue IIs last week
It's *really* good
I love my DC
Make a fuss about it. Create webpages that tell people how to change their nameserver. With examples obviously.
If you're talking about home PCs why would they be unable to change their own DNS servers (Apart from a lack of knowledge)?
They don't. The cd has a data track that contains *very* poor mp3 copies of the songs in a single big file and a crappy player.
Damn. *tears up patent application*

You don't? What planet have you been living on?
Combat in Phantasy Star Online is realtime.
So a joypad that lets you react quickly would be helpful
