Mythbusters already busted [mythbustersresults.com] that middle one. I'd like to see them test the ripping out a man's heart one, though I'm not sure PETA will appreciate them testing on live animals.
Hey, for the sake of scientific accuracy, the myth is ripping a MANS heart out without killing him, not some animals heart. I am not sure that PETA has any standing with that one...
Perhaps, for the sale of saving the life of an animal, a PETA member will volunteer for this experiment.
Remember what happened when their playstation network got hacked?
Did Sony do anything to protect their users' privacy?
They hired security consultants to tighten security. I would call that "anything", even if not perfect.
Did Sony do anything to reimburse their users' loss?
Did they?
I got a month's free subscription plus a voucher for games.
Being a Sony-hater, you probably were unaware of the compensations they gave.
It may not be enough, but it certainly satisfies "anything".
They shut the barn door after the horses ran off, after firing the people who's job was to make sure the barn door was closed. Then Sony made a token gesture of an apology to the owners of the horses than ran off in exchange for an agreement not to sue them for negligence.
I have 3 remotes for my living room TV, One for the TV, One for the satellite receiver, One for the Blu-Ray player. All are 'Universal' remotes, except that they only control the most basic functions and I end up needing all three which at any given time at least one will probably be missing.
Microsoft does a lot of good research but much like Xerox PARC before it most of the good ideas seen to have a hard time getting out of the lab. Google seems to be somewhat better in that regard. It might actually be kinda cool to have Apple raid Microsoft's R&D and "liberate" whatever cool technology they find like they did with Xerox do many years ago. (not that out would ever happen...)
Did you do your online studies from India/The Philippines/Russia/China/anywhere other rhan the U.S.?
Great! You can start as soon as your H1B paperwork is processed.
or perhaps I'm just too used to seeing monetary estimates by the Movie and Music industries. For example, the jobs counted as being affected by the entertainment industry as part of the SOPA/PIPA debate included all the employees of the Department of Engraving and Printing. Why you ask? Because they make the $100 bills that the movie and music execs use to snort coke while coming up with the estimates of jobs affected by the movie and music industry. Perfectly logical right?
Because the RIAA and MPAA will get into tanks and perform a Blietzkreig on Poland?
MPAA's panzers are hollywood props. And this time the Polish Army won't be fighting on horseback like they did against the Nazis.
Better watch out for the zombie lawyer attack though.
Best practices would be to stand up a new server and then transfer the data. If done right downtime would be measured in seconds. But no that would cost more money. Lets instead make the games legitimately purchased by our customers unplayable durrng the move. Once again the legitimate customer is punished while the pirate is unaffected. Chances are some exec thinks that if they can't get the server back online everyone will simply repurchase thier games when they get a new DRM server online.
Sucker Punch was bad. Not nearly as bad as the critics made it out to be but other than eye candy it didn't have too many redeeming values.

Japan's debt as compared to GDP is significantly higher than the US.
Japan is in worse financial condition than the US. They probably sold off any they had to China or some other country years ago.
Drive slow so you can drive fast?
Let's not say "some government" when it's always the US government.
Please mark .com as depreciated.
I don't know, the UK seems to be getting into shutting down websites too.

I think after they patent Fail they shouldn't license it to anyone.
But they will get filthy rich off of infringement lawsuits.

A separate $100 box offers all of the upside and none of the downside.
Except multiple remotes
The upcoming release of OS/2 is going to blow everything away! Even IBM can't mesas that up, right?
How about, when naming variables, you have to put the first letter of the typename in the start of the variable name!
Hungarian notation isn't about using the typename at all.
Please tell that to Microsoft.
Even Microsoft has given up on Hungarian Notation.
Yes, Google spends money on R&D at about the same pct rate as MS.

The good news is that you now have a few million frequent flyer miles...
(stewardess) Just switch from Hard Rock to the Easy Listening channel.
His first words after being thawed out would be "is 'Stramboat Mickey' still under copyright?"
Programmer didn't include if($component.SpaceRating != TRUE) {throw "INITIALIZATION ERROR: NON SPACE RATED COMPONENT!"}
"Cosmic rays?" "That's a software problem...
They're lucky those chips they bought from China weren't made of lead, or contain deadly melamine!!!
If they were made of lead they might have blocked enough radiation to prevent them from crashing.

which means: Instead of hiring two people good at working together to manage it, one is hired at half the pay to do double the work!
AC, you have a promising career in Management ahead of you!
Over his "Batmobile" Cadillac?
Thank you Mitt Romney! Too bad Donald Trump dropped out already...
