    Yes, but not very many of them. In most cases a single backhoe operator can dig ditches faster, better and cheaper than a team of ditch diggers. Operating a backhoe isn't exactly brain surgery but it is a learned skill and basic reading and math skills are generally a prerequsite.

    If only TiVo had better patent enforcement earlier perhaps DirecTV/Dish wouldn't have gone off and made sucky TiVo knock-offs... When my Direc-TiVo finallygave up the ghost a few years ago I was so dissappointed in the DirecTV DVR replacement that I spent the next few days trying everything I could think of to revive it. On the other hand I fault TiVo management with failing to see that the writing was on the wall spelling out doom for their business model. Had they had instead collected a very small royalty for licensing the TiVo name and 'look and feel' they probably would be rolling in dough now and millions of DVR owners like myself wouldn't be struggling with UI monstrosities like the DirecTV DVR.

    Here i was thinking that this article would be about comcast, but then i remembered that comcast is just the regular kind of fraud. Over-promising and under-delivering...

    That's not fraud, that's sales. Otherwise every salesperson in the world would be guilty of fraud. Always assume that if someone is selling you something they are exaggerating the capabilities of their product/service.

    Or get a video card with an HDMI output. You can probably get one in the $100 range pretty easily. (or possibly less, I haven't priced video cards in a while)
