    By default, there's no root account.

    Are you sure of that?

    The root user is disabled by default. If you can log in to your Mac with an administrator account, you can enable the root user, then log in as the root user to complete your task.

    Motorola might have a nice phone, but this ugly projector thing it sticks to? 2017? Not very trendy these days, better implement a BT or similar device.

  14. You are missing the point! This way the can emulate 750 core system at an fraction of the cost.

    So, what point am I missing? The Xeon phi 7290 is 4k$ and has 72 cores, you can get 10 of those and get way more speed, shared memory benefit etc...

    The PI is sold everywhere, at the site + amazon etc... got mine quickly. Sure if you try to get the latest thing the next day, that could be challenging.

  16. That's basically 750 x $50, ~$40k - for that price you should find something powerful without having to deal with the burden of handling 750 machines (plus the R.Pi cpu is not a ferrari)

    That's unusual. Have tried the new FF since first day (on Linux) and it is really fast, and doesn't take more mem than CHrome/

    Google Chrome might have some proprietary APIs used by Google Maps that improve its functioning ; that wouldn't be surprising, and these would only be used by Google products. APIs that obviously Firefox cannot have.

    Are you implying Ubuntu / Linux didn't progress? It seems that since the time you moved to Windows, you didn't give another chance to Linux. On the media side the progress is gigantic. Sure, to play most Windows games, still have to be a windowser.
