suso.org has already been doing this for 7 years for over 80 local customers. I basically don't have quota support in the kernel. So its not just for email. My philosophy is that if you don't give people a limit, they won't try to reach it. And guess what? It works. People don't abuse the service. They use it normally. A couple of users are exceptions and have over 1GB worth of email that has amassed over the past several years.
I'm getting ready to install a server with 200GB of home space, so thus its like I offer 200GB email accounts. Whenever I get close to running out of space, I upgrade.
No no no. The (*dink* *dink*) is the sound the paperclip makes when it taps on the glass of your monitor. Words enclosed in ** implies an action or sound.
My 6th grade science teacher was an ultra fundamentalist (ironically). When we got to the part about the big bang in the text book, he just started talking about how doesn't believe in all that and the earth was created 6,000 years ago. Sigh, silly backwater Indiana town.
No kidding man. If you look at a lot of the CNN polls that they have had over the past couple years. People are really divided almost 50/50 on many big issues.
I plan on voting for the green party, but I have the following question:
From what I have heard, when Jimmy Carter was elected, a lot of economists immediately judged that things would be unstable (before he had even taken office and done anything), which led to inflation rising as much as 400%. If elected and something simular would happen, what would you do to help prevent or battle this kind of wild speculation that might happen.
I say might happen because I can see that some people would view a green party win as an unstable thing, leading to uncertainty.
If anybody can correct the information I've stated above, please do so.
It's this reason why I plan to vote for the green party instead of John Kerry. Indiana (where I live) goes Republican almost every time and so my voting democrat won't really help, but I can help the green party to get that 5%, then my vote will matter.
Yes, there are some good games recently, but then for every good game you have about 20 companies making basically a copy of the idea. And there aren't very many original ideas out there.
When you go back and look at c64 games there were a great number of highly original ideas. A lot of them where not about blasting things, which I think is a big challenge.
Now, it's all about having the best graphics. Sure, it was back then too to some extent, but I think people enjoyed games for the gameplay more.
No, I was being serious. And I know about sprites. But I was just commenting on the fact that programmers and game writers used to write much more enjoyable games when they had more limitations to work with.
Heck, Screenshots of all the Below the Root screens for the C64 took up 4 times more space in png format than 2 5.25" floppy discs could hold. What have we come to?
Maybe if they had a track record of creating open standards I could believe that they wouldn't corrupt it, but I don't think this would be a good idea. I doubt it will catch on.
Not really unsung, because they had their day, but they were a driving force in changing the idea of a desktop and making professional looking artwork and icons.

Hey (*dink* *dink*), it looks like you're trying to write a letter.......
Well that may be true and all, but at least most scientists will abandon old theories in the light of new truths. ;-)

So is this supposed to be as good as Cosmos was? Maybe then I'd turn my satelite back on.
We can dream, can't we?
The first rule of project mayhem is you do not ask questions.
So I guess its not funny when I post it. *Sighs*
Step 1. Post link to large video to slashdot.org
Step 2. ???
Step 3. Profit!

Everyone who reads this should go to this guy's blog and post a comment about how you are looking for someone named Betty.
My wife and I were talking about this and what's funny is that he fits the perfect profile of a communist president.
If we ask a question are you just going to tell us what you think we want to hear or are you going to give us your honest answer?
Isn't x64 the program that runs the VICE C64 emulator? ;-)

... quality goes down.

The new logo is nice, but I was kinda partial to the nunchaku wielding ninjas knocking the crap out of spam.

It kinda was. Linus himself said that he wanted his own computer, but didn't want to buy microsoft crap. So he made one himself.
I think you can generalize it more as "Thanks to closed source software vendors for making it necessary."
Damnit, I must have misplaced a decimal point or something. I always do that I always mess up some mundane detail.
Oh, this is not a mundane detail, Michael!!
