    People are probably dropping actual trash and dog shit on your property and you need the government to protect you from a once-per-year phone book delivery? I'd say the phone books fall well within the normal order.

    The guy is apparently rather unstable, but he made better use of his deployment in Iraq than any of the other soldiers who brutalized random people and often came back homeless, crippled, or dead for following the rules.

    Surely you can see the contractual problem with being billed for something that you don't receive. Customers should be downgraded to the lowest billing tier, certainly an ISP can't deny this request, though I'm not sure how ISPs can even compel payment for a product that they can deliberately alter at their discretion. This is like a car dealer getting you to sign something allowing them to substitute a bicycle for the Porsche you selected: it's just not kosher.

    Unless the bad side is catastrophic. Nuclear technology hasn't improved life all that much, but even if it provided something amazing like free power, it obviously wouldn't be worth it if also resulted in extinction.

    The ban in the UK includes simulated violence as well as peeing, which I guess is interpreted as some sort of symbolic violence, and Iceland's definition will have to be similarly broad, because there just isn't that much actual violence on video. OK, the internet has everything, but this law won't just be targeting shock videos.
