'The iPad proved a tablet shouldn't be a portable computer that happened to have its screen always exposed.'
Oh, that's why I didn't buy one. If anything the iPad proves that the weight of a screen can actually be less than the weight of the money in single dollar bills you had to pay to get one.
Yes and when you're in China I am sure the local library will be quite happy to lend you that copy of the dvd on Tankman, just as long as you can show your ID;)
Not everyone uses torrents to download movies... I can even imagine someone trying to watch a recorded news-show or documentary that could get him in trouble... in that case I would say, use of TOR is fine. But in the case of just downloading your average movie, you are right, don't use TOR for that! But there are lots of cases where I feel the use of TOR for torrents is allowed.
Well that might have been the case with betamax over video2000, but Sony chose blue-ray... When they brought out the PS3. And that's why blue-ray is the format these days. And no, there was no porn on it... Then again, I only know people with a ps3 that actually use blue-ray. Dvd is fine. Back in the old days, there was no internet where you could get your porn. Big difference there.
Yes and when they all screw up, I'm sure I will have no trouble getting enough workers there to continue my business... And if not, I don't complain about being bankrupt and liable to a shitload of customers damages, no - I'll just take a free day from my workers who are perfectly happy to agree to such a contract... Fortune 500, here I come!
Hmmm, I can understand your point and according to law, thats just fine in the USA. However, USA-law isnt' the right example of how a decent law should be. (no worries, I'm Dutch and our law is neither).
But Gizmodo got an offer to buy a possible prototype. Did now knew that this 'stolen' albeit it isn't stolen, it's found, big difference there. And gizmodo even tried to inform apple...
And when they did not get a respond, they published. Like any good journalist would do. And then you get your home invaded? And your belongings taken away from you?
Sorry, gizmodo is not the thief here....
Despite hating that whole net-netrual thing this is just plain silly. It would create a lot of jobs. Millions and millions to be precise. Someone has to do the police-work you know... Neh, this is just silly.
Now - sorry USA friends, I know you can't do anything about this and prob don't agree to it- how the hell can finding a phone that you recognize as maybe a prototype (not something Jane or Joe can....) offer to bring it back to Apple be a reason to get your home searched? And how do you combine that with bringing 'freedom' *in exchange for oil lol* to iraq? How? I am pretty sure some of the smartest people in the world have their lives in the USA and yet this is happening... That's pretty (sorry for the language) fucked up:(
I mean, back in the seventies, my grandmother bought me a globe that could spin, was big enough to actually read AND had light! Bet it was a lot cheaper too.
Just wait until the day comes you just *need* to have those 26 pornvideo's eh, marketingpresentations side by side on your screen...
(but on a more serious note, it's easy to set up a lower resolution on your screen, I do it all the time for the same reasons you say, but it is very nice to switch to a much higher res when I work on real high-res photographs etc.
I have a feeling you didn't see this episode. I did (bit of a fanboy) but what SP actually was doing, was putting Mohammed in it in a way - very very openly- that could be agreed upon by all... And then ended rather foolish for Mohammed. But they certainly have a point...
That reminds of the time I was still 'collecting' msx-homecomputers. In the end I had 27 of them. Sometimes I still think about that collection, but to be honest... it's better now it's gone. Was just collecting dust and when I wanted to play a game, I would just fire an emulator. Still did hurt a bit saying goodbye to them. Then again, in return I got a walking voicebook with titties. If only she had come with a mute option.
But... why?

I have participated here, else I would mod you insightful.

Danish... The cartoon of Mohammed with the bomb/head is from a Danish cartoonist.
Well, I think you missed the point. Watch an episode. Then come back and discuss.

Speaking of which, I just got a letter from her lawyer. The divorce is final!

Wheels still spinning but upside down? :')
Don't know why you are being mod funny. The investment firm of Bono (elevation -something) actually has put a lot of money in Palm. http://www.benzinga.com/general/193399/bono-named-worst-investor-palm. Seems that elevation is quite relative!
I like her !
