But these "other people" are simply other servers including NetSol's own. VeriSign (NetSol) is still the head of the.COM and.NET TLD registry. So THEY are the people who ultimately would know if it's reserved. And other servers get lots and lots of queries that aren't (or at least shouldn't be) monitored by people directly. Regardless, think about this:
Say for instance I visit your website. And your website has forums. And I search on your forums. Does this mean everybody on the forums (or even off the forums) should now know that I searched for a specific phrase or that ANYBODY searched for that phrase? The only real place it usually ends up is your logs which should stay on your own server and not get publicized.
The act of letting other people know what was searched for when it comes to domains is completely deliberate and not required and shouldn't even happen.
It used to be completely free for folks with business accounts like I have. They apparently stopped that promotion but I managed to get mine for free when they were still doing it.
I was bored one day years ago while between jobs and _I_ punched the monkey and picked from the tree and over again. The biggest prize they had available for doing so? A free plush version of the treeloot.com monkey, complete with boxing gloves. Still have it today.
I don't get why people are bitching at Yahoo! over this. Do you WANT Microsoft to own them? I don't care WHY they turned it down, I'm just glad they did, I personally don't want to see it happen at all! I'm not even sure if the FTC would like it much.
Of the folks that play WoW or any MMORPG in a potentially "unhealthy" portion that causes folks to tell them to "get a life" versus those who are "sitting in front of the TV and watching Friends or football":
- How many of those folks have stable jobs? ANY job? - How many don't eat right (and by right I mean not eat a meal and eat simply snacks all day) - How many get up out of their seat much?
The folks that are too addicted to this game do MANY things that are harmful for themselves.
Also, I call bullshit that "having a kid" does NOT improve or somehow change the lives of others. If NOBODY had a kid, we wouldn't be here. You're somebody's kid, I'm somebody's kid, Sir Tim Berners-Lee is somebody's kid, and even fricking Jack Thompson is somebody's kid.

That is like saying Windows 3.11 should have been used in a server environment because it had networking capabilities and you don't need NT. XP has services. That doesn't mean they'll be as reliable as an OS built around the idea of being a server.
This still doesn't make them say "THE INTERNET IS A TERRORIST THREAT". It means they're going to look into what kind of role the internet plays in helping terrorism. It may at the most mean they're going to monitor it. Woo fricking hoo.
Jim Mallon's Best Brains Incorporated (who originally made the show anyway) owns the rights to MST3K. Plus they would need to rebuild many props. They'd need to have a serious backing and project time to get it back to where it was to air it as the old "J&TB" format.
And that's assuming they can get the rights for MST3K again. And this sounds much better than what Mallon is currently doing with MST3K.com.
His arrogance comes from his "I'm right you're wrong" attitude. Look at EVERYTHING he talks about. It's not even at the point of not trusting, it's at the point where he's simply bashing other pieces of software. He implements things like a one man version of Microsoft: his way, yet claims it's the standard.
Does said home owner's insurance cover for act of dog? Or other small mishaps? Like if a friend accidentally steps on your disc or the normal wear and tear of a disc that may be a potentially rare game? Is the purpose of paying $40 (give or take $20 depending on console) for a new game go towards the fact that it's a physical disc or that you're licensing a game from the company to play?
"this could affect everything from the cost of cable service to the price of TVs". So yes, yes it IS a bad thing.

Mine's not THAT much higher than yours.
Japan is not the US and the US is not Japan, and may have cultural differences helping it last longer. Though sometimes the two combine.
Will it blend?
Say it with me:

I don't believe this has to do with rabbit ear interference.

Overall: You're on the wrong site.
GB != Gb
And heck, screw the 832. I want the 1.6 TERABYTE version:

Only thing is this one is 3 1/2" so it won't work well for a laptop HD
Simple: Silverlight is theirs, Flash isn't. And to be honest I've not even heard of Silverlight til this article came up.

Actually it probably costs $0.22 or a little more than that. 2% of the cost PLUS $0.20 or so for using the gateway at all
