    It may be a small sample size, but man this is cool stuff.
    From TFA, the siRNA can stop any mRNA produced protein.
    Eventually, this could be huge for treatments of diseases and conditions associated with mutated proteins.
    Before, they had the siRNA, but no real way to deliver them.
    So, this is a double wammy!

    In fairness, I wrote the story, and found the video... but it I think it is very cool.

    WOW!

    How do you get that? I am Greek, and our health system is kind of messed up... but, the US system is a disaster.
    The problems with Greece have to do, at least in a large part, with the Government futzing around so that they can be and remain part of the EU
    Picking out Greece and saying the US shouldn't have a single payer system because Greece has one, and is suffering is like
    saying that drinking causes lung cancer. There is an association, but it is only because drinkers have a higher percentage of smokers than
    non-smokers.
    Pick another example please... like how messed up it is in France, Germany, England, Italy.... oh wait, it actually sort of works in those places,
    at least it works better than it does in the states.

    Doctors do use metals, and silver does have antibiotic effeects....
    There have not been enough good studies done, so doctors are not allowed to perscribe it.
    Gold and iron are used as well as chromium, and other minerals.
    In fact minerals are essential to life and if you don't get enough it is as bad as getting too much.

    Does silver work... MAYBE.

    Maybe for some bugs, but for those nasty caca roches, I get a bowl, wipe the top 4 inches around inside with vegtable oil then put whatever inside... coffee grounds, bananas... whatever... There are tons of dead ones in there but that doesn't stop more from coming. Also, cockroaches are cannibals.

    And they make a tasty treat for the kids!

    If you told me just 1 year ago that steroids could be used to cure cancer rather than cause it, I would have laughed in your face.

    There are so many incidences of steroid users succumbing to cancer that it's not uncommon to see American body builders getting checked out in Mexican hospitals for various cancers. If this therapy really works, it is critical to find the balance point between androgenic steroid therapeutic use and outright abuse.

    It isn`t the androgen therapy that is doing it, it is the anti-ctla4 antibody that is doing the work.

    If anything the androgen therapy should be causing the prostate cancer to grow

    narf.

    This puts the finger squarely on what is wrong. Corporations have no soul.

    There is no conscience that you can speak to. They become greed machines that are only interested in profits. To the expense of anything else not the company.

    Enron, the savings and loans, this latest fiasco, all of which happened because of the greed mentality. Which precludes acting in anyones benefit, if you can't get a dollar out of it.

    Google had the right idea with its "do no harm policy," Even, though many could argue that they haven't followed their own charter. At least, it is in there. I think there should also be a "conscience" position in the company that is equal to, or nearly equal to CEO.

    I was just watching "Die another Day" ( I think... it was in portuguese so, I am not sure of the title ). And it had the cheesiest tsunami kite surfing scene ever filmed...

    But, I have to say I really, truly loved Star Trek for that entire "Plot" thing, that I have been hearing about, but haven't actually seen in a recent flick.

    They can market themselves until they are IBM blue in the face.

    After 6 months of being treated as a criminal by customer service (my warranty was erroneously not under my name), and reading similar stories on the internet, not only will I not buy another dell (dude), I also actively tell others not to buy them.

    Back in the day, before my own lovely experience, I used to hype them... good stats and cheap price.
    I was responsible for more than 10 dell sales to friends, and over 200 corporate sells to companies I erroneously advised.

    If they want to improve their marketing to women, men, even household plants.... maybe they should improve their %&*%$# customer service.

    ok... maybe I am just a tad bitter.
