... that I have with this is that he expects to write this long semi-apologetic diatribe and then hope that the only capital he ever had in his chosen field, the trust of his clients, would just come flowing back in to him from the faithful. Well, I hate to say it, but if I'm looking for a firm that makes recommendations based on data, and I'm supposed to make a judgment call based on the data and word of the analyst, I'm not going to turn to a company run by a fraudulent internet "shock jock." The only thing he had was his ability to point to his years of expertise and say "See? I know what I'm talking about!", and he gave that away for what, page views for his crap blog on a foundering technology site? Not only was it a huge mistake, but it was probably the death knell in his career and his company. If it isn't, then there's no justice in the world.
...I'll be glad to wait until the prices on these games drop into the sub-$30 range. If that means waiting two years to play a decent game instead of being able to trade games in to get it at a decent price on release day, that's more than fine by me. And if the publishers are willing to punish me for buying or selling their games used, I'm willing to hold my money back from them until the "Game of the year" editions with all the special content included come out for a lower price. I can only see this hurting the publishers and Sony in the very near future.
And yet, they sadly screwed it up yet again. I'm more than slightly saddened to think that the one marvel hero that should come naturally to hollywood is the one they screw the pooch on the worst. Somebody please make a decent dang Punisher movie!
I'll say one thing: I'm obese, and if someone came up to me on the street and heckled me about it, they'd be visiting the emergency room shortly thereafter to have their head removed from their posterior. people being a**holes may be a fact of life, but so are the potential consequences. You heckle a fat guy, you'd better be sure that's all fat under there.
Every instance of implied racism and calling the Tea Party movement "Teabagging" doesn't qualify? Jeanine Garofalo going on MSNBC saying that "teabaggers" are racists on Kieth Olbermann's show doesn't qualify? How about Nancy Palosi equating protesters at this summer's town hall meetings to nazis? That's just off the top of my head, and during the current presidency. Don't even get me started on the B.S. Democrats were spewing during much of Bush's two terms. Not saying some of it wasn't valid, but there was a lot of hatemongering and faux outrage there too. If you can't think of any, perhaps it's because you're too close to the sources.
A palindrome. Yes, we all remember how the seas turned to blood on 02/20/2002 and millions died instantly from the power of the (almost) palindrome! And 12/21/2012 will be almost as bad! I'm certain John Cusack's gearing up RIGHT NOW!
Actually, hell as the bible mostly presents it is simply an absence of God, and therefore absence of all the peace and love that comes from being in his presence. I think the entire "lake of fire" concept is taken from Revelations, and is used mostly as a metaphor for the anguish and torment the human soul would go through in an eternity absent from the feelings and virtues it was designed to crave. Now, when you think of it that way, it's not the merciless act of a cruel and uncaring God, but the choice of the individual who chooses not to associate with his maker.
Actually, I believe Google developed an entire mobile OS just for that ability. I think it would be a coup if Google were able to use their software to control functions on the flagship phone of a major competitor. That's why Apple is running scared right now.

And we could ALL do with slightly less world...

You watch NASCAR? BWAHAHAHA... ... ... ... Do you think Mark Martin's gonna take the points lead from Jimmie Johnson?
And just where DOES Office Space fit into this theory anyway?
