Ghost Enterprise is great for a large number of PCs. We received over 200 machines that needed to be up and ready over the weekend. we were able to image the entire floor (over 180 machines) in 11 minutes. The enterprise package comes with other tools as well. The ability to push out install packages and the ability to ghost across the network without a boot disk. The only thing I hate is having to go back and manually rename and add machines to the domain. It could automatically do it but we have a specific naming convention for each cubicle.

Mosaic is bad, cops are bad, metal detectors are bad, etc. What do you think needs to be done to stop this growing trend of violence? Mosaic, cops, metal detectors, etc., may not be the solution, but at least the schools that use these are recognizing that there is a problem. I may be a little naive but I believe in the basic goodness of all people cops, teachers, & students. So of course some of your analogies seem a little far-fetched to me. Why would a security gaurd blame a kid for trying to stab someone with a screwdriver unless the student was doing something stupid (i.e. holding it in threatning manner). Thanks for reading my thoughts.
I had Win2k installed on a 166mmx odp with a piece of shit bigfoot hd, an 8X packard bell cd-rom, and 64mb sdram. It only took about 40 minutes and i had to configure the network card. I think maybe your machine has a problem. If it will install on my POS, I think it will install on anything.
I use to preach the 'Sega is better' sermon to all my friends. I was a loyal customer. I bought a master system, Game Gear, Genesis, Sega CD, Sega 32x, Saturn, and a Nomad. The only one I don't feel like I got ripped on was the Genesis (which explains my purchasing the Nomad, damn that was cool). I have spent multiple thousands of dollars on Sega games and hardware. They always end up giving consumers the shaft. I will not buy a Dreamcast.

p.s. unless they make a new Phantasy Star, then I'll have to get one!!!
I would have consider myself at one time but, Sega has made too many mistakes for me to get behind anything they do. I bought the SMS,Genesis,SegaCD,32X,GameGear,Nomad, & a Saturn. I feel like I have been screwed over on all but the SMS, Genesis & the Nomad. I've seen a Dreamcast and yes it looks sweeet but, I'll never plop out the ducats for one. I like my playstation but, I think I'll just be content with my computer.

BTW The Phantasy Star series is what made me loyal to sega for so long so if they make a sequel on the dreamcast I'll probably eat my words.:p
It's a bit of a paradox to love the movie and the book since the two were so different. I for one enjoyed all the books and I'm excited than Brian Herbert is working on these prequels... with his pop's lost notes. Frank Herbert was truly a master of description an imagery. His books take elements of religion, geography, government, biology, etc and combine them in the most intriguing and fasinating way. His writings truly were books within books. But I digress, I'm just really happy something is being done in this universe. I would love to see an anthology of short stories by diffrent sci-fi authors (I know some would probably be a lame embarrassment but hey, we always have the original six).
I really like my cheap winchips. despite the name they run linux just fine. It's ashame so much hype is put on what should just be another piece of silicon. Ah well...

I work for a reseller and we sell mostly Compaq. When I took the job I thought these computers would suck just as much as the retail Presarios. I was suprised that they aren't as bad. The servers are pretty good and the deskpros are now all standard based pcs..no propreitary HW. Remember, Compaq has done a lot of good for the industry. They make wonderful tape arrays and the invented hot plug pci slots. Thats pretty exciting stuff. Not to mention you can order their professional workstations and their alpha servers with Linux preinstalled. Also if it wasn't for compaq paving the way with sub 1000 dollar pcs, those AMD & Cyrix chips alot of you like probably wouldn't have gotten the attention they deserve.
Why is there a limit on the number of people I can ignore? There are a hell of alot more annoying, spamming, asshats than there are ignore slots.
Why in the world are the auction houses not instanced?. The AH seems to be the major cause of lag in Ironforge and Orgrimmar.

That was pretty funny for an AC.

I hope the toshiba servers don't suck as much as the desktops did. Being able to run linux can't save everything.
so it must all be his fault. :)
