I see a huge conflict of interest. If they are both "Friends" of the judge whats to say they all aren't "Friends".

Defense: "Alright, I'll let you have it, but he's really innocent and didn't do alot of harm"

    Very serious.

When taking up such a high seat you are entitled a VERY LARGE amount of power. You can decide if someone spends a fraction of their savings, or all of it, or if they spend part of their life in jail, the rest of their life in jail, or in some states, to even end their life.

With that power comes responsibility. You are expected to be perfectly impartial, unbiased, and free of all prejudice.

    Given two options:

    1) Your friends list at the cost of a biased judge in the future

    2) A fair trial in the future at the cost of your facebook friends list

Which would you choose? I've already stated mine.

The first part anyways, absolutely genius. In fact, so long as there is a small disclaimer somewhere the user doesn't even look, I think they are in the clear. The best part is that it branches out, the more people to use an App, the more people get invited, and so forth. Exponential. Getting people to do something real world impacting for virtual currency/items is not anything new. (Anyone remember the "Mount me for a flying mount" girl when Burning Crusade came out?)

The second part however, I'm pretty sure is against the law (IANAL), something like Identity Theft but not really, or impersonation, or something to that effect.

Seems like once you determine an account is a fake - IE, it gets reported, all you have to do is look at what lobby group the spammer is supporting and you've got your prime suspect. And then a little investigation into the matter would probably expose those responsible.

Instead of trying to hide the friendship, it should be forced to be public.

If Hollywood has taught me anything about the Judiciary system, its that the prosecution and the judge are always the best of friends, know each other by first name, and might even have a heart to heart during recess.

Seriously though, I'm sure it'd be more beneficial if they tried to stop the ACTUAL conflict of interest instead of trying to stop THE APPEARANCE of conflict of interest.

Stop the net and you stop alot of DVD-R's. If you force Pirates to Film by video cam, the quality of pirated films goes way down and eventually people won't want that pirated version.

The parent of the thread pointed out that the line "then secretly installing their command and control infrastructure" is a little silly because no hacker would ever do it NOT in secret. He then explains similar scenarios in why it would be ridiculous if someone did.

In my post I claim that someone in fact DID perform such a ridiculous action. However, since we're being ridiculous, I thought it would be funny to kick it up a notch and make MY REACTION even MORE ridiculous.

Making yourself a target for ridicule is not anything new. If you are unable to grasp this concept I would hope that there is a reasonable explanation. Perhaps you were raised in a different culture, perhaps english isn't your native tongue so you don't quite follow the nuances of my speech. I broke up my sentences with unnecessary commas and hyphens to excentuate certain words or phrases, in order to make my post sound more like a confession or a story instead of just a post.

Also, I'm not sure if you mean nonsensical meaning that the structure of my writing doesn't make sense, or my actions don't make sense.

Because if it's my actions, that is kind of the point. The fact they DON'T make sense is funny.
