It's not 1981 anymore, the entire right half of the keyboard isn't that heavy... Imagine doing this with an old school IBM keyboard. I'll just save my money to get one of these IBM keyboards, though.
You know, as much as I'd like to believe that "in Muslim countries women aren't leered at and treated as sex objects," it's not true. I'm in a muslim country (Pakistan) and I am muslim, but hey, it's a lot more idealistic to think that women aren't. I don't really have a point, but I'd just like to clear that up. On a side note, a large percentage of women in the west that convert to Islam previous to conversion considered themselves "feminist". They appreciate how after they started covering their hair and dressing more modestly, they weren't treated as cattle.

If this doesn't matter, I don't know what does! I wish I was old enough to have experienced 12:34 on 6th May 1978 (5/6/78) (or 5th June 1978, for those who do it DD/MM/YY).

So I was reading some magazine, don't know which one, and I saw an interesting picture.
Basically, it's a cool ass riding lawnmower. The inventors took one of those nasty ass "Smart Cars", and put this laser spiel underneath it.
I have no proof that I saw this, but I assure you I did. (I'd try to find links, but I'm at an internet cafe, and time is money, apparently.)

What's your second-favourite Linux distribution?
Ian:
I got started with Linux in 1993 using a distribution called SLS. I started Debian later that year, and have been using Debian ever since. So, I guess that makes SLS my second-favorite distribution.
You know, I was in NY once, listening to some radio station, and on the news they said one guy was arrested for animal abuse. Apparently he killed three sheep by what is suggested in your title.
It's people like you that are perpratrators of animal abuse. PETA -- everyone mocks them, but I am now in more support of them than ever.
Peer pressure is not a joke, people. This isn't jumping off a bridge, this is violating innocent sheep.
Theoretically. It's still bandwith sucking, and slow as hell.
Score -1, Flamebait? Maybe. I know I'd like to use Gnutella a lot, but I end up using Napster (or, well, ended up -- past tense, now) because it was a lot quicker. Maybe at least I'll find more MP3s on Napster.
Not to all those people that aren't very computer literate. Not so long after Napster came out, I had all these random people that had never heard of MP3s before asking me what MP3s & Napster were.
Most of those people don't know Gnutella & CuteMX exist. This is bigger than you make it out to be.
When there was a discussion about slot loading small CDs & DVDs before, (when the Sony Mavica camera with the 3" CD was brought up), the site that was linked to had a picture of "special expander donuts". If you had one handy, you'd be set.
If the forum is that 10gramspoppylatex thing, then I already knew about it. (forgot about it, but knew about it). I was on that mailing list, I just hadn't posted anything in a while, so I assumed I was off.
To answer your question of what happens if you stack 3 inches of paper on top of the PowerMacCube -- It automatically shuts off if it gets too hot in the cube.
Yes, that would be nice. Maybe interview their mothers, too. And neighbors. Have webmasters give 3 references to be able to lined to Slashdot. The whole nine, of course.
4. Pain relievers just mask the pain, it will hurt twice as bad a year from now if you do nothing about it.
7. Tylonel, and lots of it,
Emm. Okay. To me, this is a contradiction. If it's not, then I don't get it...
I tried it once, but the motor oil stained my clothes. I never asked the mechanic again for body work.

My mother takes two 14+ hour flights (NYC to Pakistan, and back) every two months or so. (Retired).
My brother takes 2-3 hour flights every Monday and every Friday. (Consultant).
Some people it's relavant, eh? Plus, the internets a nice way to make a 14 hour flight seem a helluva lot less.

Of course you don't live in a box. Who the hell heard of a "jack in a box"?!
I believe the Beastie Boys said, "Like Ma Bell, I got the ill communication."
Most of Napster's traffic is due to trading of illegal MP3s. Justify it however you want, the record companies have their interests to protect.
Mod me down as offtopic, but whatever.
I seriously doubt that ZikZak's account has been disabled for whatever. If Rob wanted to do that, why would he put it under "User Bio"?
Congrats, YHBT.
Damn, I remember someone in here saying that they did it as a service a while back... Maybe it was attached to that namezero article?

Dammit, I want on the mailing list! There's not enough good humour out there, these trolls are fscking hilarious though.
