    My point was that I find it curious that Google, for whatever reason, seems to filter image searches. Maybe I just don't get how the image searching works - if the images appear on pages listed in the regular search results, why don't they appear in the image search results?

    Man, I am *so* glad I asked for help! did the job!

    Thanks for all of the suggestions though - I had been dicking around the installer and manually copying the plugin files for a week, and none of that seemed to work... oh well, off to see Strongbad now :-D

    emerge netscape-flash worked for me

    Speaking as someone who *still* can't get Flash to work with Moz on Linux, I can say that the plugin installation procedure is anything but seamless, ergo Mozilla shouldn't be affected by this.

    (1) Mozilla 1.4+GTK2 on Gentoo 1.4 - any suggestions for getting Flash working? :-)

    Honestly what can you do in Moz, that you can't do in firebird?

    Inspect the DOM of pages and XUL interface components - FB doesn't include Mozilla's excellent DOM inspector!

    Ever since I started using Bayesian filtering (via Mozilla Mail and SpamBayes), I haven't even cared how any other techniques compare. It's that good!
