Oh come on! What would you do if you wanted to make money out of a game? I like Linux as much as the next guy but I understand that the market for Linux games is just too small, especially for games like this that are bought by a much smaller number of people than shoot-em-up games. Same holds for Apple of course.

  2. Playing online on Uru - Ages Beyond Myst Analyzed · · Score: 2, Interesting

I don't know how the money side of playing online is taken care of. I can imagine that a monthly fee is the easiest way to pay for playing online but a fixed price per minute seems more fair to me because when you have a very busy month and not much time to play you 'throw money away'. And playing online is not like a magazine that can be put away to be read later.
O, I must add: this looks to me like a very cool game and a worthy sequel to Excile.

I read about artificial brains in a book somewhere. To be able to make an artificial brain we first need to know how to make a lot of positrons, and how to keep those away from electrons. Then we can make a brain.

My roommate always tells me never to turn the steering wheel when the car is not moving. It's very bad for the tyres and the steering mechanism he says. Then I ask him if he ever parked a car in Utrecht or Amsterdam (two busy cities in Holland). No, he has never done that. I don't know about you but I can't park a car in a tight spot without steering while the car is not moving.

Most sceptics I know don't have a scientific approach to these problems. For instance they say that aliens don't exist because it's never proven they exist. That is of course a crappy argument. I also feel that some/many people don't want to admit they don't have answers to all questions. Like it's a defeat to admit you don't know something.

Both are for adults only but the latter can certainly do more damage to people than the former.
