I would really like to see this comet hit the Earth. You don't get the chance to die like that every day! What a great way to go! Pity that it MAY hit Earth in 2060 or so...
Well, I'm afraid you can't run the binaries you compiled from your own source code on your own computer anymore, because you first have to have them approved by a bureaucratic entity...
I think roll-up TV (or a rollup notebook!) is a very nice gimmick, but what I'm always afraid of is that after a few days wrinkles appear, which will be quite difficult to remove. Does anyone know if this problem is addressed by researchers?
Isn't buying a new version of a sertain software package the same as buying a new car? New cars are usually better than the old model, AND you have to pay for them. If something is really wrong with the newer model the manufacturer will fix it for free (hopefully), just like with software patches.
It doesn't matter. I am not colorblind but I don't pay much attention to colours normally. My desktop is totally B&W... But back to the issue at hand; you can easily recognize all Euro coins by looking at theis sides. They are all differently patterned. So they HAVE thought about this.
Has it been that long? I thought they started with this in the 80's... But then again, everything started in the 80's according to my memory. Now guess my age:-)
Hey, here in Holland we're going to spend E 20G on a useless railroad and a far too expensive Joint Strike fighter. Why not spend this money on something more useful? This trip to Mars is a better project than the ones we spend this money on now, if only for the spin-off technology.
It is a nice book, especially the beginning when they find this man who has veins that don't connect to each other (if you've read the book you'll understand what I mean). Pity that Crighton's characters are so flat though.
With so much water and so much sun on Mars it should not be too difficult to build an efficient hydrogen and oxygen factory there. Visiting spacecraft can use these gases to refuel and to take in new oxygen before starting to do real work.
My father broke both of his wrists once when he fell off his bike. Luckily he works for the government in Holland.
I think you have to use your mouse a lot and develop RSI in your other arm...
All those little dots... Cool! Look at their beautiful colours!

Hey, you're right, suddenly I'm 'good'. What the f***? Why not drop this Karma thing altogether?

Besides, I don't hear many complaints from blind people.

This will be a good collectors item.
It looks like a BEC is something like a Borg Einstein Collective from the atoms' point of view.
Problem is that US laws seem to be applicable anywhere on earth (DeCSS, Sklyarov)...
I just downloaded 8.0 for a colleague. Now we can start all over again... :-)
Cool! Maybe I'll live long enough to get my own new heart!
And without she looked soooooo much better!

George Bush is also not perfect.

The fact that it lacks bells and whistles is what appealed to me the most. Been using it for 6 years now and never wanted something else.
Open sourcerer?
Well I don't know. I wouldn't want one through my private parts.
I would fund a project to get us to Mars with that much money.
