Nice example. If the salesman wasn't wearing a suit you'd probably trust him less. The suit is part of the package, like grammar is part of the message.
Indeed, as I said I find more and more adventure games for the Mac these days. That's a trend that has just started to develop and I like it a lot. Most of these games are indeed made by indies:).
I think you're spot on. If someone writes and uses bad grammar (and spelling) it takes time to translate the message to normal [insert language here]. Not using correct spelling and grammar shows disdain for the receiver, wether intentional or not.
I thought you Americans didn't pay taxes. At least, what you pay is nothing compared to what we in Europe pay. But we have healthcare and social security, words you don't even know the meaning of. You should try it sometime: pay taxes and get benefits from that.
I hope T-bird will live long because it's the only email client I know for the Mac that lets you keep your important mail on a Samba server on your LAN. Very handy because I can now read the same old mails on my laptop and my desktop at home.
Oh fuck off you moron. If you'd cared to look at my user ID you'd see that I had the name tsa in 1996 already, waaaaaaaaaaay before you were even potty trained.
Funny 'cause I hate those squiggly lines. I always turn them off. I can find my own spelling mistakes, thank you! Maybe MS didn't invent the squiggly lines but did invent the option to turn them off?
That's an improvement! Way to go Apple!
Oh come on. "Best" is always objective, and I think with "commercial" he meant that you have to buy it, unlike most Linux distros.
The end of qwerty is like Linux on the desktop.
If there weren't a Ballmer, it would be necessary to invent one, no?
And there you go. You can't ask that of a coworker. At least not all the time.
...and proud of it! :)
They're like slashdotters: copying to their heart's delight but when their own copyright is abused they cry foul.

Damn. Sorry no, it was an honest mistake.

I agree wholeheartedly with Albert Einstein :)
I have a Mac but most games only run on Windows. Luckily you see more and more adventure games that are also released for Mac, for the same price.
As most people, I don't want to have to fiddle with different programs to get something running on my computer. It should just work.
Exactly. I think they deserve what they get. Filming the police is one thing, but not coming up with anything better to do than that is quite another.

I can't help thinking that I've heard this before some years ago. Am I right or is this really a new finding?
I am still waiting for all the games I like to run on Apple or Linux. I think I still have to wait a very long time for that.
That's why Apple has iCloud. To lock you in further. It works for me!
Because many /. geeks are poor people?

But then you don't have the box. Many adventure games always want the box. And many of them collect all the games they played.

More like a Hotel California of computer scientists.
