  1. Where do I start? on Complex Systems Theorists Predict We're About One Year From Global Food Riots · · Score: 1

When has any "scientist" correctly predicted a major disaster? Never! Us damn humans just keep ignoring them and multiplying. Don't bet against us even if you think we are near peak. You're wrong!

  2. Life is so unfair, but SAFE. on White House Finalizes 54.5 MPG Fuel Efficiency Standard · · Score: 1

Ok, so you don't like big cars because you got a little car? Well, let's say you go into a bar and you got an average face and average body. The people in the bar are "better and bigger" than you. So guess what? Life sucks and you go home by yourself. The bigger/better people get laid, have kids and you don't! And then, you get taxed unfairly and have to pay for the birth and the education of their kids which you didn't have because you "got a little car".

So what do you do? You tell your friendly government officials to even things out. They come up with a great plan, SAFE. Simple Average Fornication Experience. So now you, average and small, get to play with the "big" boys and girls. But what really happens is that while you still don't get laid you are no longer a loser, just average. Yippe, yeah big govenrment!

  3. Senators don't need Math on The Mathematics of 'Legitimate Rape' and Pregnancy · · Score: 1

I don't see how you can become a US Senator if you are good with math. How else do you explain the fact that they won't pass a budget and still believe that magically we'll start paying down the debt before we consume all the world's capital. Akin might fit in with that crowd of free thinkers.

I've been dabbling around with the opposite sex for about two years now and have been masturbating for longer than that, but I've never had sex for real. What are your experiences?"

  6. What the...? on US Is Finally Cleaning Up Agent Orange In Vietnam · · Score: 1

I'm sure the "peace" treaty didn't include a herbicide clean up clause. War sucks, so why try to change that 40 years later? No matter what happens it will still suck.

  7. What about Sony's Mura demo from 1997? on EA Sues Zynga For Copying Sims Game · · Score: 1

Of course, Maxim completely ripped off the Sony Mura demo from 1997. Just like Apple stole Sony's phone. If only Zynga knew this!

  8. I feel safer already! on Testing for Many Designer Drugs At Once · · Score: 1

  9. Terry Stop on Subject To a "Stop and Frisk"? There's an App For That · · Score: 1

NYC is "just" doing a Terry Stop. As far as I can tell, it can be done legally, but probably isn't done legally very often. How you react to it is the important part. It's very unfortunate that we need to teach the Terry Stop in our schools, but if we did it would certainly lower the crime rate.

  10. The cloud is the problem, not the client. on Ask Slashdot: Why Not Linux For Security? · · Score: 1

  15. IF IT"S ON FACEBOOK IT"S NOT PRIVATE! on Teacher's Aide Fired For Refusing To Hand Over Facebook Password · · Score: 2

The most obvious way to mitigate these failures is to enact the first international holiday, Leap Day. The world should slow down every ~4 years and take the day off. This will allow those who are date challenged to quietly fix their problems. Unfortunately, this means no special events and maybe we should just shut down the Internet too for a "make and mend" day.

  18. Corner Case - Who cares on The Zuckerberg Tax · · Score: 1

This is a corner case in the tax argument. No matter what you propose to solve this alleged injustice it makes no difference in the huge Federal deficit. We Americans just aren't making enough Zuckerbergs to rely on for a redistribution solution.
