So what you are saying is just because Indians are racist its OK for Americans to be racist. Following your logic you could say just because the Nazis put Jews in Gas chambers it is ok for Americans to put Blacks into gas chambers (No wait .. thats not really a good example given the number of blacks on death row but you know what I mean) America as a nation of immigrants needs to be held to a higher standard than other countries. America has always benefited from immigration . India on the other hand has just recently regained its independence which it lost by welcoming foreign traders to their shores. So maybe Indians, French or Germans could have some reason for being racist but why Americans? Everytime a foreigner comes to America and becomes American they increase America's strength. I do agree that assimilation should be fast - maximum one generation and am violently opposed to bilingual education. A common language is necessary for common civic culture. On that note I have an interesting idea for those who believe large scale immigration will swamp communities and create their own Little Mexicos, Little Italies , Indiatown etc. Make it easier for people from mixed cultures to become Americans e.g. Allow any couple where the husband and wife have different mother tongues become Americans. These are obviously people who dont want to recreate their own countries in USA and their loyalty is going to be only to the US

Its a sad thing that the actual breakdown happened on the lines of CE is HArdware (VLSI and chip design) and CS as software and once CS got ladled with the Software only tag it degenerated into programming only. So having different programs would not solve the problem at all. What we need is there should be a two year associate degree in Programming just like we used to have draftsmen in Civil Engineering. For those interested in 4 year courses we should have Engineering concentrating on building new systems both hardware and software and CS concentrating on research in new systems both hardware and software. And to do it right do not combine EE and CE.

Stay in 5 star hotels paid by the client so no need to clean or do laundry (laundry allowance), no need to cook (per diem for dinners), no transportation problems - taxis reimbursed or rented cars with unlimited mileage. After work you can go out and party on the town and a month really lets you hit all the party spots and the clubs are not crazily crowded on weekdays. And on weekends just take the company car and drive off to see the tourist destinations. Ah that was the lifestyle. Its ideal for bachelors and if you are the right countries chicks really dig foreigners. That is not a surprise as Israel was built by the Kapos from the concentration camps who killed their own brethren to survive. The true jews died in the holocaust. The ones who came to Israel were the sickos who survived by selling their souls to the Nazis and no wonder they used the methods of their Nazi masters against the Arabs.

In India to graduate high school you have to take 2 national level standardised exams - One after class 10 and one after class 12. Till Class 10 you have 10 subjects the whole year- English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math, History, Geography, Civics, Economics and a third language (my school had the choice of Sanskrit and French - I took Sanskrit) as well as compulsory Music, Art, Yoga and Physical Ed classes (mostly playing soccer, basketball or tennis recreationally no organized sports). After giving the exams in these subjects depending on how well you scored you will get to choose Science (Engineering track), Science(Medical track), Economics track or Arts track . In each of these tracks you will have English and Math(including Calculus except in Arts where there is no Math) and 3 more subjects. People survive this while at the same time preparing for college entrance exams as college entrance is not based on High school scores (for professional colleges). Sure Indian kids suck at sports and have low social skills as they dont have time for organized sports or dating but they sure are much more prepared for college level acaemics. Its these kids against whom American kids have to start to compete so its time to toughen up the US curriculum and fail kids without mercy if they cant keep up. The most ridiculous thing I have heard is passing a kid who obviously hasnt learnt the material so as to not hurt their self esteem. WTF. If a kid cant be bothered to learn enough to pass the minimum requirements his/her self esteem needs to be hurt - in fact the self esteem needs to be taken out to the woods and shot. Respect and self respect are earned not a right.
If the curriculum isnt toughened up the Indian kids will take the jobs - either here or in India through outsourcing. No amount of racist immigration policies can stop that.

The point I was trying to make is that so called Israeli civilian casualties are not all they are made out to be. If a group of Israeli soldiers are on a bus going to their reserve duty post and the bus gets blown up I would consider it a valid strike against military assets but international media reports it as civilian casualties as the soldiers were not carrying their weapons (which they would receive once they arrived at their duty post).
As for Arabs serving in Israeli parliament its like the token Christian in Saddam Hussein's parliament. No sane person tries to even pretend that Israel is not a Zionist country with a state religion.
As for the small discrimination Israeli army law allows them to confiscate any Arab land and turn around and give it to Jewish settlers free of charge. This is inside Israel proper and not the West Bank colonies where the natives have no rights at all when compared to the White (Russian) settlers.
Also Arabs are not allowed to serve in the Army even if they want to (both Christian and Muslim Arabs). This might not seem a big deal but Israel being a semi-communist country where everything from housing to transportation allowances come from the state and are not given to those who have not served is a big crimp on the Arabs' lifestyle. At least the religious nuts get funding from the zionist cults.
The sad fact of the existence of Israel is that it has taken a peacefull religion (Jews were never a race. The only person who believed Jews are a race and not a religion was Hitler) and turned it into one reviled in most of the world. The vast majority of Jews are not Zionists (even those who move to Israel mostly do for economic reasons) but all Jews reap the hatred sown by the zionist/apartheid policies.

If you try to point to Muslim atrocities to justify Israeli atrocities it would be like Hitler pointing at the American wiping out of the American Indians to justify the final solution. Just because there are crazies in other countries doesnt justify craziness .

Basically in the 20th century 3 countries have been created in the name of religion - Israel, Pakistan and Northern Island and all we get out the three is trouble. Maybe we should realize its time countries were based on secularism and equal rights for all residents irrespective of religion.
Once Israel absorbs the Palestinian territories legally, gives the Palestinians right to vote in Israeli elections and becomes a true democracy and then it still faces terrorism from its neighbours thats when we should help them not while they are a apartheid regime.

So where are you getting civilian casualties figures for Israelis from? unless you are counting Israeli Arabs or the religious nuts? The Arabs are second class citizens who have very little control over their lives and the religious nuts deserve everything they get (especially for wearing those black dresses and beards which stink like crazy)

India has a much worse record of outright booth-capturing(taking over of polling booths and allowing only your supporters to vote though some of it happened in Florida too where black voters were turned away) and double voting but ever since the National Election commision has received powers to conduct the election voting fraud has gone down. The way to get rid of election controversies is to have a national election commission like in India. India has a lot more voters than the US and a much lower level of education but it manages to pull off general elections a lot more cleanly and fairly just because the standards are same for all elections and all precincts. The decentralized form of elections might have made sense for the age of horse coaches but in the age of internet it is not too tough to have thge same standards everywhere in the US

Also why not have a paper trail .With a paper backup all fraud can be caught given enough time for recounts (again if elections are not controlled by local partisan officials they cant arbitrarily decide not to have recounts).
