Umm, no.

no one has a faster processor or video card that gives them an advantage or an edge in some way
What kind of advantage does a faster CPU/GPU give?
If your system meets the minimum requirements (display/movement is not lagging) the only difference high-end hardware makes is prettyness. (Not saying that prettyness is not important, just not a competitive advantage.)
It's called a slippery slope for a reason. It could happen and perhaps it is not all that unlikely.
Some day Arpanet may become a primary source of information for people....But maybe some government will try to use it for censorship! We should keep mailing floppies!
1. This update gets installed if you are in the EU and use XP or later. 2. If you have IE as default browser, this site opens at the next login, or when you click on the icon the update puts on your desktop (like this).
The Nokia N900 is an ARM CPU phone that runs Maemo OS which is based on Debian Linux that runs PearPC which is a PowerPC emulator that runs Apple OS X 10.3 which is Darwin which is BSD.
Well according to Wikipedia they reprocess it, and the waste of several other countries too. The not reusable stuff gets sent back to the originating countries, the domestic stuff will go to underground storage when it is completed.
Me too. I hate the IE8 ribbon. I cannot find anything in that ribbon.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
The same about "Show Desktop" button in Windows. In Windows-7 they moved it into the right corner. I have laptop with Windows-7 for couple of month but I still cannot get accustomed to this. I prefer working on my Vista machine.
You prefer trying to hit a small button instead of smashing your cursor to the bottom right corner?
Whenever I move the cursor over it my windows collapse suddenly. And I think that the computer crashed.
What else do you expect a "show desktop" button to do? (Besides, you can right-click on it and deselect the preview option.)
homosexual leprechaun giving you magical money tree that grows $100 bills for leaves and has cocaine filled nuts.
Hmm...
homosexual - homosexuals exist leprechaun - there are really small people who could be described as "dwarfs", "gnomes" or "leprechauns" give - there are some religions are really are about sharing your stuff magical - any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic tree that grows $100 bills for leaves and has cocaine filled nuts - both banknotes and cocaine are plant based, probably could be done with some really advanced genetic engineering
I think this has a bigger chance of happening than the LHC black hole. (Not sure about the flying ass-monkeys though.)
Slashdot is dying?
No, you are not paying 4K for 1 TB.
You are paying 4K for 1 TB and
* Read: Up to 260 MB/s
* Write: Up to 260 MB/s
* Sustained Write: 220 MB/s
* Max IOPS: 15,000 (4K random)
What RAID under 4K can do that?
Obligatory car analogy:
Why spend a bunch of money on a Formula 1 race car when it only fits 1 driver?
You could buy several 18 wheeler trucks for that price!

If they copied Apple perfectly Mozilla would have dropped the platform anyway, since Apple doesn't allow apps to compete with built-in functionality.

Hopefully this will help standards compliant browsers gain some marketshare. (Not that my country needs much help. :P)

Microsoft says Windows is the best OS ever!
They are a primary source for Windows stuff, so it must be true!

That sounds somewhat like the Libraries feature in Windows 7.
They are used in permanent magnet electric motors/generators.
And yes, they can be recycled just like batteries.
Unless you are used to the electronics way:
1K2 = 1.2 k = 1,200
M47 = 0.47 M = 470,000
68R = 68
