IE Users who also watch Fox News are more likely than most to be in a coma and on life support, but on their own dime... cause even in a coma, they didn't need no damn government assistance!
User: There is an error on page X
I tweak that page code on the production server after looking at the error log.
Me back to User: An error really? Have you tried pressing F5?
User: Oh.. hmmm I guess I must have done something wrong. Sorry for bugging you!
Me: Hey, no problem.
Yep, I bet everyone will abandon the iPad once some of the incredible competitor models are revealed..
I really can't wait for one of those awesome Windows 7 based 'tablets'... other companies have been making 'tablet' computers since the early 2000's, but not until Apple produced one of their own has anyone
really taken interest in them.
those chinese hackers are good for something..
I'm thinking if we ever catch one though.. we'll sentence them to work in that Foxconn plant making iPhones...
It is mainly past devs creating web apps that rely on IE6-only hooks yes. It is sad, but true. Even some commercially developed web apps have this problem.
I deal with them daily and wish I could fix them, but do to license agreements/support contracts/etc... I cannot.
Like I said in my first post, I'm working on it. I handle several websites and webapps on a daily basis, along with going back and reworking older webapps if I have spare time.
Sometimes it can be really annoying and painful to do, but in the end I feel better personally and the closer I get to being able to recommend Firefox for everything the happier I really am.
but I'm working on it! The only way to get Corporate/Management off of IE6 is to fix any web apps you have in your organization that won't work on anything but that.
Why off topic? My point was that they never pay attention to such things so they wouldn't have noticed they can't patent Sparklines.
In this case I don't point my finger at Microsoft and scream bloody murder, I simply say they are ignorant in the matter.
We moved away from mainframes and dumb terminals to desktop computers and now we are moving back again... (cloud computing and the like) after the love affair has ended with that we will be moving back to the equivalent of the desktop computer.
Don't you see? The FAA was chosen as the Windows 7 upgrade test bed for the U.S. Govt
Then if it doesn't work and people die, they can just blame Microsoft. Everyone hates them anyway right???
My wife is a teacher so I can speak from experience.
Teachers try to find ways to keep the students interested in the course material and don't always have extra time to brainstorm up new ideas to accomplish this (they have lives too). So buying a lesson plan off another teacher isn't all that bad. It is not the information they buy, but how to present it in some way that is compelling. Basically you are marketing the course material to the student with your lesson plan... some lesson plans are better at it than others.
I do have cable.. however the shows I watch are all also available on either syfy.com or nbc.com or as a torrent (at lesser quality).
I use Hulu because I miss shows sometimes (reading to my kids) and so.. I use hulu.
extending the unstoppable commercials to 60 seconds, gives me more time to run and get a drink/food or go take a quick leak.
But I won't be paying for any content that I currently get from Hulu for "free".
Always interesting to see the twists applied to previous attempts at the same task.. I know what idea I'm putting in my 6 yr old's mind for his first science fair....

That was me.. failing to login before posting.
Maybe if you sell them both you can afford to buy a refurbed iPhone from AT&T or Apple.
even if it was you, would you admit to it? Reputations and careers could be ruined by something like that.

It is very obvious that Microsoft has never payed much attention to design concepts, especially user interface design concepts.

dumb terminals? You mean computers using Windows?

they must have been transitioning over to Windows 7 this morning.. you know that can take days depending on what your current system is.
High school chemistry labs? perhaps Hollywood can find a way to wrap their movies in it? Thank you! I'll be here all week! Try the adolescent bovine!
try to get his ingredients.. or he'll sue your under the DMCA.
Are you somehow saying the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is a scam??? Blaspheme!

The teacher owns the material, it is they who develops it and in no way has to do with the schools.
In the mean time Apple has cut a very handsome check for ikee's services in proving jailbroken phones to be bad bad bad : )
