    I assume the gp meant that legacy code was converted to Objective C by a program, then compiled with normal mac tools. How does Apple know the difference if you only show them the Objective C code?

    The software in question was a BASIC compiler targeting x86, and thus targeting for the xbox was theoretically possible given enough tweaks (but the dev team was small and had much more important things on their plate). The xbox 360 was referred to as alien because it uses PPC architecture, which AFAIK has a completely different instruction set that requires nothing short of rewriting a compiler. Nothing was mentioned of the PS3.

    Uh, I think the 360 does use Xenon, which is PPC.
    I know it's not x86, since IIRC there was a discussion somewhere about porting x86 code to the original xbox, which would be feasible. The 360 was mentioned as being unworkable in having alien architecture.

    Great, I'm glad you endorse acting like a barbaric tribe of killing anybody you disagree with. Go find one and live there, but I assure you that violence-makes-right won't fit in with the US, or any other first world country for that matter. After all, the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is something we hold dear here. That's what an even vaster majority of voters want.
