Perosnally I think it looks like he's pulling a "blow out your candle to make mine glow brighter" move. He may not. For all we know, he _is_ one of those clueless people on tech support (or, at least, for all _i_ know). Maybe he has called in a problem like something they feature in UF or the other comic (not familliar with it) and wants to make his sore ego bigger by lambasting comics that do that sort of thing, in essence, make fun of him. There's a reason UF has a book and he doesn't (for all I saw on the site at least). UF is great, the other looks like one I'm gonna start reading, Kurtz's comic looks like one I'll veer away from (today's witty installment had a amorphous blob who had been poked in the eye with a pencil while playing Nintendo and couldn't play so it called in a replacement to play for it. The replacement was a bigger amorphous blob. hahahaha NO. Sorry for this little sub-rant). Anyhow, don't worry about what other people are doing, do your own thing and stop bitching about everyone else or many more people will bitch about you. When Mosiac comes around, I do 1) lie my ass off and say what they want to hear from a "normal" kid OR 2) Do what I did on all the other tests which is fill in every answer and stick a big ole MYOB on the bottom. When the teacher asks you what the hell you think you're doing and that this is serious you ask "Why, this was supposed to be an annonymous test, why are you looking at mine? If you didn't look at mine, how do you know this?" That gets them pretty mad, but eh, its funny to watch them try to come up with an answer >:)

I'm in the same situation as you, coupla years of HS left. Also, if you got the grades check out MIT, CalTech, Berkely, or Carnegie Mellon. Collegeview is another great way to get a ton of info about colleges, so check it out.

What gives us the right is because we are the consumer. Because of that we can expect quality product or service, and if we don't get it, we have the right to complain. I think breaking up would be a good idea, but give a piece to Linus, a piece to Alan Cox, a piece to Richard Stallman, Eric S Raymond, a couple of random homeless guys, some coders who have a CLUE, and, of course, Rob and Jeff:) We'll see how long it stays crappy (if it stays at all!)
