Online forums/content hosts make their money by hosting content that a particular demographic wants to consume. Wouldn't forcing them to host content for every demographic means that every publisher of content would need to be banned from specializing as well?
That doesn't really help things. It's not hard to lie about that,or find people willing to whore out their home address for a fraction of what you'll save from spreading out the addresses between properties.
See, this is what's making them lose. Israel's tactics allow Hamas to create a victimhood narrative and recruit thousands of people to their cause. In reality, Hamas is no more the friend of the Palestinian people than Israel is.
Every war these days depends on public opinion, both local and foreign. Without it, there are no recruits and there is no funding. If you can eliminate those, you've disposed of a lot of potential enemy combatants without bloodshed.
That strategy is what's losing Israel the fight in Gaza and the West Bank. For every enemy combatant they kill their opponents gain international sympathy as the downtrodden underdogs because every bomb builder is working alongside a guy with a camera and a tale to spin.
That's kinda what's being done here. By limiting the amount that toxic players can say, the proportion of good messages is increased, increasing the 'normality' of the chat in general.
Actually, yes, it does. Along with paying that money they also sign an agreement to abide by Riot's terms of service. If they violate those terms, Riot Games is fully justified in terminating their service entirely.
Because that creates more work for the client, which isn't actually something most clients want? If it's a political control thing it's completely redundant. There is never anything of intellectual value discussed in a LoL match.
Why, exactly should Riot Games be obliged to spend their resources supporting a toxic player that their other (profitable) players find distasteful? They have a business to run. Don't pretend that LoL matches are some kind of forum for enlightened and creative thought. It's a game. A game which is made worse for all involved when enraged ranting is allowed to fill the chat in place of useful tactical communication.
The only New Steam Version game I own is Company of Heroes... which repairs the multiplayer services that were lost due to server shutdowns. In other words, they're restoring the engine of my car, for free, that the original supporting company allowed to die.
And the average person (or at least myself) who does realize that the question is about DNA is going to think that the poll is hilarious and answer yes to it anyway.
For all the hype... even if islam rules the world it will just be change in the world, not the end of it. They are not the first ideology of their kind, and won't be the last to rule a large chunk of the planet.
You might want to speak to a lawyer...

I'm sure that's what really happened.
It was that way for thousands of years. The idea that music has to come in a file is an invention of the electronic age, born from pure convenience.
Build a tiny pirate ship.

That seems wildly unenforceable.
Work in any of the other cell phone stores across the continent?

Racist-ranting 12-year-olds aren't the most profitable demographic, and FTP players are the product, not the actual customers.
By 'here' I mean in League of Legends, as described by the article.
That's kinda what's being done here. By limiting the amount that toxic players can say, the proportion of good messages is increased, increasing the 'normality' of the chat in general.
It's an understandable move. In a FTP multiplayer game, the userbase is half the product you're selling to the real paying customers.

Which games specifically become terrible after they change to "New Steam Version"?
People actually do run servers that do that. They're called pirates.

Fun fact: What you're actually hearing from most approaching vehicles is tire noise rather than their engine sound.
You typically will hear the tire noise of an approaching vehicle long before you hear its engine noise. Even electric cars can't get rid of that.
