    If there is no evidence, then yes it is scaremongering. Stuxnet and Spying on their own civilians, well for that there is evidence.

    I can't speak for the specifics of this particular deal, but it's quite common for some deals to be in limited supply, to encourage early adopters. "While stocks last" or "Free Netflix to first 500 customers" etc.

    I'm sure they had someone in legal draw up the proper wording for their advertisement to ensure that they could end it if demand was too high.

    The famine in Ireland, caused in part by potato blight striking a specific strain of potato (the Irish Lumper), is a great historical example of this.

    I have always thought that Psychopathy was a necessary element in our society. You need that person who cool look objectively and see that person X is bad for their society, and cave his skull in. It also would suggest why we don't mind so many psychopaths running our businesses and country. We still believe that they are the type of people we need running the society.

    Is still only 5 million per life saved, which I think is a fair bargain. That's of course if they simply stop there. 30M for the development of a single drug is chump change in Pharma industry. 30M for a process that will define a whole new branch of medicine is amazing.

    Yeah, but that only lasts a few thousand years, and it also suffers the same problems that we have now, in that interpreting that data is the job of specialists, not the common person.
