But B5 was actually good. It may have been poorly marketed, especially as it was in direct conflict with Star Trek. What impressed me the most about the show, was that the story arc was the full length of the series, with a beginning, middle and end. It didn't just go on until it ran out of steam.
I think you'll find that many people's opinion of B5 will include things like "believable, 3 dimensional characters", "engaging stories", "moral questions" and so on. It also had kick ass people on both sides (and in the grey areas) of the conflict.
While I agree with you that we could have gotten more Firefly, I don't think we should consider sacrificing the B5's of the programming schedule, and focus more on the Jersey Shores.
Because in most webcam devices, built into the laptop, the light is a diode wired in series with the power supply to the camera. If the camera is getting juice, the light is on. This method is taken by most manufactures (it's probably a directive passed down by some government authority) that the light be there to notify user of camera function. This prevents a malevolent hacker spying by overriding any software that provides this safeguard.
There are websites that, when reviewing a new product, take it apart to see its innards. If your Lenovo laptop had a placebo recording indicator light built into it by the manufacturer, then do you think we would not have heard about it on/. by now?
This is the big deal behind Open Source software, not that it's free (that's FOSS for those who don't know) but that it's completely transparent, and that by the community having access to the source code, they can spot bugs and security flaws easily and have them corrected.
Voiding a warranty is what prevents the average user from tearing open their device to see any potential security issues, but any good review site, or security awareness group will gladly do this with the device while testing it.
You could of course start down the road saying that the version they give to reviewers might function normally, but later on they can produce 'faulty' models that don't do this. I guess it's just a question on how paranoid you want to get.
There were no reports Presley hurt anybody with his gun slinging, but he was known to have a fascination with firearms. He converted part of a rear building at the estate into a firing range.
You can buy items (earned with in-game currency or bought with real cash) that speed up or slow down the game. I don't know what review you saw, but it may not have shown the sped up version.
The premise of this show is slightly flawed. Tabletop & Boardgames have been very popular among the average person for generations. My family has played many a game of Scrabble, Monopoly & Game of Life.
You can't compare D&D to Sports. You have to compare it to, say, cycling or cricket. There are mainstream boardgames that have no stigma associated with it, just as there are mainstream sports (Soccer or Baseball, Basketball, American Football). But if I was to bring up the subject of the Ireland vs. Oman match that took place this weekend (which we won) in the canteen at work, then I'll probably meet blank stares. The Ireland vs England Rugby match though...
So, if he's going to try to attempt to remove the stigma of a niche hobby, by having it aired on a Geek youtube channel hosted by 2 well known geeks, then I wonder at the success.
I will watch it, because I'm a geek, but I wonder if it will resemble This at all...
When the technology advances to the Power Fist stage, it might become so commonplace to change your hand in for better, that a catastrophic injury isn't required.
Wow, just wow. Just how many of these cans do you think it would require to fill your car, and how many such transactions before someone becomes suspicious? Or were you planning on buying only the one can from the station?
No, what you want to do is drive a diesel car and buy it wholesale, have it delivered to your house where you have a home-heating sized container. That's what my parents do anyway (for convenience and cost, not to avoid tax/insurance).
I honestly believe that I would have been faster at playing through the co-op modes of these games with a stranger than with one of my best friends. The number of times I dropped him (and him me) into the acid, grinding machine, flames or caught him (accidently!) with a rocket launcher is phenomenal.
We engage in friendly competition to find extremely creative ways of killing the other person that I'd never do to a stranger.
When you sign the document, make sure you cross over the printed line. If toner underneath the ink is vaporised, it will affect what you wrote. If it isn't, then it will be there underneath what you wrote, visible to forensic examination.
2k Games (Borderlands, Bioshock) + Firaxis (Civ). I really, really cannot wait. I love the idea of the 'glam cam', I think it will blend the lines between action FPS and tactical turn based. The youtube vid looks so slick. If they keep a lot of the research, manufacture and soldier development in, and add in more tactical (like their example of different types of cover) options, I'll be buying this game on day 1, not waiting for sales, or second hand copy.
This is one of those games that is so rare, in that it's build upon a great game system, and not a movie franchise, voice acting or eye-porn graphics. That's why I love Borderlands and Bioshock so much, along with Civ.
The ship's speed in hyperspace allows it to travel closer to gravity wells without falling out of the hyperspace tunnel. Slower ships have to take a more circuitous route to avoid wells that would dump them out. Thus being able to make the run in less distance is an indication of the ship's speed.

I would love to see something like this happen, just too see the end result when 4chan gets wind of it.

You all know Elvis was American, right?
How does an Australian actually measure their weight? I thought you were all held on with magnets?
But the reviews I'm looking for are in the comments.

I got the email to say that the new bundle as out. I immediately though "I'll keep an eye out for /. so I'll get some reviews of the games included"
God forbid we avoid discussing anything because it might appear to advertise the product that comprises the topic of discussion.
How does Canabalt compare to Windup Knight?

Because playing with yourself makes you blind.
so, :. .: : :.". .:. .:. *sigh* . :. :. .: :. :
Much the same can be said of a post starting with ProTIP:
Adding "Thanks for playing" falls into the same category.
I'm never lending you a video cassette.

Sounds a bit like it's saying "It's not easy being green"
So I get twice as much Pie? Sign me up!

Are you SURE you saw 780 pounds? You know, mistakes are made. Here, take this envelope and think carefully about just how much meth was found.
