The outsourcing angle piqued my curiosity. What if, and this is a very big if, MXS had no knowledge of the violations.... what if all of the code theft was performed by shady outsourced coders?
...and then just go. Submit a letter to HR (not the boss) in writing that you quit effective immediately which mentions when you gave notice. Keep a record of your time card.
If he screws your for all or part of it (which remains to be seen) call a lawyer.
True, but in this case the Royal Marine has camaflage, body armor, grenades, night vision, GPS, and about two hundred rounds of armor piercing ammo fired from a rifle with hundreds or yards of effective range. Not to mention foreknowledge of the attack and superior training and tactics.
...for a Java virtual machine, let alone an x86 segmented architecture. Only time will tell if superscalar chip fabs are O(log n).... but I seriously doubt, SERIOUSLY doubt! that **any** pointer arthimetic will be performed faster on such a set up.
It has long been recognized that the dollar amount of theft sets a standard for sentencing.
Petty theft. Grand theft. Grand theft (auto).
Steal more (or cause a larger loss) and you'll get a harsher sentence. Makes sense - so much so that even American lawmakers see the logic in this.
Some indy filmmaker gets ripped off $100 and he goes back for a second shift at the coffee house that week. Cause a major investment consortium (sometimes called a "film studio" in this case) to loose $5 or $10 million and people lose jobs, health benefits, can't pay mortgages.
This isn't just a case of some fatcat in a tux saying "oh gee I only made $45 million this week instead of $60 million" like you would seem to suggest.
How many next versions contain bug fixes? There is no clear "beta" demarcation - it is simply a continuum at which a point is reached where "management" decides a product is good enough. This is true of all software.
Yes, 50 times over.
Would Microsoft Buy Red Hat? Doubtful.

They "outsourced" field working in the early 1800's.
They outsourced building the railroads back in the late 1800's (more like an indentured H-1B program).
Importing cheap labor (with or without their permission) is as American as it gets.

It stains like a mofo - regardless of how well you (think) you've sealed it. It also chips easier than other products (as you have stated).
Quartz (Silestone) performs *much* better, and priced slightly lower than concrete, across most grades.
I had a job installing countertops back in my college days.

Now compare several thousand Royal Marines appearing dressed as Cherokees while the Cherokees were making their plans......
It is a misdomeanor... ...and some poor sap might finally know just where the hell his wife is for once. ;-)
It is indeed frightening, and all they deserve is a swift execution.
Were those in question human, your point would have merit.
Like a baby, we won't really appreciate its value until it's matured a bit
Look, babies are great.... it is the teenagers you want to get rid of.
"awesome arsenal of firepower"
Compare a Cherokee warrior to a fully equipped Royal Marine....
NT worked fine on the Alpha. Not MS's fault that few people want (and even less need) 64 bit CPU's - hence the lack of third party interest.
You are totally blind.

You wouldn't think so if you invested $100 million into making a film.
While the notion of an open QNX is ridiculously cool, suggesting it happen by posting to Slashdot is just ridiculous.
