You've obviously not used their mobile network in recent years. The prices are a bit higher than you pay with other carriers, but the network is brilliant. I can actually use the data I pay for each month, as opposed to getting dialup speeds on those occasions when I can even load anything to begin with.
I am a big Metallica fan, but good god St Anger sucks. I'm not holding much hope for the new album to be any better. (Another reason why downloading music before buying it is good! I would have been royally pissed had I wasted money on buying St Anger).
I'm told by my video geekin' buddies that Flip4Mac, nifty as it is, is last year's code and can't handle the latest 'n greatest WMP 10 codes from MS. Anyone know the truth on this, done any testing?
Aye, as far as I know, nothing on the Mac can play WMP 10 files.
I loved it in Angel how Wesley moved from being this uptight unintentionally (from his PoV) funny character, to a dark and gruesome killer, ready to do whatever it takes -- pretty much apexing with him taking an axe to the body of his former lover.
Or even better, shooting (what he thought was) his father without a second thought when he threatened Fred.
Why in $DEITY's name would you want to run Linux PPC on newer hardware? I can see the advantage for older machines that don't run Mac OS X very well (or at all), but a 17" PowerBook?!
No-one seems to understand that it's not just the hardware that makes the iPods so popular...it's the complete package of the iPod, iTunes, and the iTunes Music Store, and the seamless integration between them.
Until they can come up with at least something as good as iTunes, none of these products are going to be an "iPod killer".
Uh, me? And quite a number of other people, I'd imagine.
It's a similar sort of deal to when the PS2 first came out...I get to play games and watch DVDs with the same box, rather than needing two devices for the same functionality.
it seems this is one of those few areas in software applications where even on the vast breadth of the internet a conspiracy of supression of knowledge . non open code. [not that the code is worth anything to learn from] in order to force the sale of ridiclous 1000 dollar licences for extremely poor code. my project i s free open source mag stripe oswftare compatible with as many reders and writesr as possible including portable code and libraries to embed in dumb terminals for people wanting to make thin open source terminal clients for EPOS systems.
But even so, what about Evanescence? They seem to have hit upon a new kind of niche by combining Sarah McLachlan type music with Linkin Park type music.
But even that's not new. Just new to the mainstream media. See Lacuna Coil or Within Temptation for two excellent examples. (I've heard Evanescence described as "for people who haven't discovered Lacuna Coil yet".) Don't get me wrong, I love Evanescence. That exact same formula has been done before, however...most people just haven't been exposed to it.

...the Australian government doesn't understand anything. :P
We don't drink Fosters here. Fosters is the shit we export to all you poor sods who don't know any better. ;)
Uhhh? It's 10GB/month of bandwidth...
Aye, as far as I know, nothing on the Mac can play WMP 10 files.
What a load of shit.
...that trophy pictures link is Slashdotted already.

Puma's already been used... that was the internal codename for 10.1 (before they started using the codenames for marketing).
How? I can't speak for Linux, but Mac OS X comes out-of-box with no services enabled.
Agreed. I wonder if they realise that there aren't actually any viruses for Mac OS X and Linux...
I'll see your bourbon and raise you absinthe. :P

After all, who uses their Xbox to play movies?
Uh, me? And quite a number of other people, I'd imagine.

Three words: Free Trade Agreement.
...the Howard government doing something intelligent?!
::looks outside to see if the sky is falling::
That's an understatement if there ever was one. ;)
(Fat chance, I know).
For Christ's sake, this argument is stupid.
One button is fine for regular users, if you want more buttons, go and damn well buy a multi-button mouse.
I hope your coding is better than your spelling.
:D
