  1. IM Blogs on Yahoo Experimenting with Blogs? · · Score: 4, Funny

Now what would be cool is if they could intergrate Yahoo IM so you could blog from your IM window. OF course just being careful that your talk with FitGirl 18/f/US (who is actually FatBloke 37/m/US) isn;t automatically logged :)

Postfix is cool and words but so does Exim, Qmail et al. Sendmail is a large code base that has devloped over many years but its secret is its ability to do alomst anything required. Of course its almost impenterable if you don't want to learn rule sets but you can just get the Orielly book which is only about 1000 pages long :)

  6. Security on Windows Is 'Insecure By Design,' Says Washington Post · · Score: 1, Insightful

The way I see this is that Windows is for good or bad popular. As such people will poke around it more and find more holes. Its not like Mac + Linux are totally secure. Now as there are more people, more holes will be found.

Now from these Microsoft issues more patches etc. It should be pointed out that the holes that allowed the recent worms are fixed by a patch released over a month ago. Its just that people/admins haven't applied them meaning systems are still exploitable.

Also Windows isn't designed to be totally secure from the ground up it designed to work on a wide range of hardware and appeal to all levels of people.

I have to wonder how they define a 5 year old and to what context? Ability to learn, reason, think interact. Also what about physical appeareance are they looking for same size or something the size of a fully grown human?

Could it get to the point where you have a "child" in a super human body? Hopefully they will have Asimovs Rules in there at least

If you want to market this way then at least use a list of people you know who will vote for you, or have requested it. There is no reasons to spam people about this and I wouldn't be surprised that a large number of people who are outside the state or even in another country got it.

Now how can they defend that? Spamming is worse than junkmail as the recipient has to pay rather than the sender. And before anyone say just press the delete key how do you do that on that average 3000 spams I get a month?
