    You have to wonder how many times you can read/write this format. Is it like CF where you have a limited number of more like a hard disk where you can use it form main storage. If the latter mass backup storage suddenly becomes very easy..

    Nice article and it explains nicely why *NIX is modular in that you can pass output from one command to another via pipes. Quite simply it was just an idea and a dman good one at that.

    Recently a mag in the UK they showed a modded PC fully kitted our in neons, cooling kits, see through side panel etc saying prehaps it was the fastest PC they tested. The next month they had to admit that prehaps it would be better if the picture they printed actually had a cpu on the mb

    When we got married abroad we were actually offered all the negative for about $400. The simple reason is that the photographer know that no-one is going to contact im from your home country to get new photos so he just makes a quick buck and you get what you want. Alternativly get someone in the family to do it

    Of course one could argue that is worth making the GUI faster to give an apparent speed increase whilst allowing improvments in CPU/Disk to carry the rest of the OS. Then again of course I know nothing about system design
