    Province, your name (maybe) and any personal data that you've ever transmitted by email through gmail. Google's business is finding needles in haystacks.

    That said, I like gmail, and for some reason...I blindly trust google to not screw up too bad.

    . He has a complete lack of understanding why anyone shouldn't want to share data, and any attempt to not share data is part of some large conspericy or corruption. People want to protect their property, and some people but value in their property. Their Code is there property, they have the right to choose who should view it and how it is viewed.


    He doesn't have a lack of understanding. He knows why people don't want to share. He merely disagrees with them at a very fundamental level. He disagrees with the concept of information as property.

    I'd much rather compare what percentage of the population of each country lives in urban vs. rural areas, since rural areas generally seem less likely to have high-speed infrastructure.

    UO PvP lives on in the form of player-run shards. (I last played on ikrontik, and while not perfect, or as traditional as some shards, it was definately fun for for PvP.)

    By "Macs" do you mean, motorola-processor-based macintosh computer systems, powerPC-processor-based macintosh computer systems or intel-processor-based macintosh computer systems?

    From the man page: killall is used by shutdown(1M) to kill all active processes not directly related to the shutdown procedure.

    but yeah, it's probably not something joe user would want to use (the man page says only super-users can use it, but it's set mode 755 ... I assume there's some check in the code)

    The above post refers to the killall from the psmisc package.

    The Sun Solaris "killall" command kills *all* processes.

    AIX "killall" kills all processes (except those in its family tree) owned by the calling user (maybe owned by the calling user *and* attached to the current terminal...).

    Not to mention that "killall -KILL 1" would kill processes named "1", as opposed to the process with the PID "1".
