After leveling 2 characters to sixty and several other to 40/50ish, I've found that it takes me about (now that I'm better at the game) 10 days of game-time to get to 60. I would say I'm pretty effecient at questing/killing, and I switch between characters such that I almost always get rested XP. Your 131 hours versus my 240 hours...what's yuor trick?
I expect I'll have another 4-5 daysworth of gameplay before I get my epic set, and probably even longer before I get the ugprades to it.
(Note: I don't usually grind...I quest, which might take longer, but rested XP probably makes up for the lack of outright grinding.)
What would be interesting is using the grid to generate rainbow tables...generating rainbow tables and selling them on DVD is a lucrative business. (well, except for LANMAN tables -- which shmoo gives away gratis)
I run max res (1600x1280, or something like that), with textures at full distance/quality, and I get minor choppiness (off and on, once things load it's smooth) in IF by the bank/AH. Gryphon filghts are amazing (not only can I see the landscape, with great clarity, I can see OTHER gryphon flights cross my path -- something I could never do before)
All this using the 20" Imac duo, with 1G memory. (The universal binary vs. Rosetta made little difference in performance). IMO, the only thing that could kill the laptop is disk latency, but with those 5400rpm SATA drives in the macbooks, I doubt it will.
One thing I have noticed with Mac WoW vs. Intel WoW -- zooming out (like, with the scroll wheel) goes maybe 15 yards back in the Mac version and double that in the intel version. (e.g.: on the IF bridge in front of the AH, I can stand in the center and zoom out, straight up, and my visibility is almost exactly the length of the bridge -- on my intel box, the visibility is double that (I can see quite a ways of of the bridge)). Sadly, Blizzard has not responded to my support request regarding this.
"The fact that the Red Cross is also used in [videogames] which contain strong language and violence is also of concern to us in that they directly conflict with the basic humanitarian principles espoused by the Red Cross movement," Pratt stated.
The fact that the Red Cross is also used in [real worlds] which contain strong language and violence is also of concern to me, in that these worlds directly conflict with the basic humanitarian principles espoused by the Red Cross movement.
You didn't misunderstand. That's what it does. I'm not sure if "patrolled" is available to anonymous accounts...I would guess that there's probably nothing to stop what you describe.
I've addressed this elsewhere, but yeah -- the technical capability exists. But restrictions on who can patrol and who patrols the patrollers...those are probably complicated questions.
GP pointed at the fact that poverty exists and that it can revent people from protecting themselves, and that it can also prevent them from protecting their children, simply because they cannot afford the means to do so.
And my point is that poverty-stricken people (or any people who are unable to care for a child) should not be having children, and anything that results from that lack of planning is their own damn fault.
I would say[1] that if one is not "well off enough" to be a decent parent for one's children, one oughtn't have a child. I would say that's an effective solution to the kidnapping problem.[2]
[1] While I consider myself libertarian (I check the Libertarian box on my voter registration form), my views may not accurately represent the views of the Libertarian party.
[2] I realize that kids can get out of hand and that parents may have extenuating circumstances (so take my comment as a moderate eggageration, if it makes you feel better). The GP seemed to've been justifying lax parenting with poverty, and that doesn't fly with me.

Which makes sense, since my locale is en_US.UTF-8. I didn't think about using any specific encoding. (I assume it was readable)
PS: As for your PS... the original question wasn't how does a russian hacker type p0wnd, it was how would it be written in cyrillic. (an alphabet used by more than just russians)

I fail to see the connection between a pair of password guessing/cracking utilities and spam/DDOS....
If you need to do an extensive set of things as root, why not use "sudo -i" ...
In UO, you could run around naked with a DP dagger and inflict tons of damage to things.
In WoW, once you hit level 60, gear is the only way to advance the character.
Toto makes toilets for americans too.

"Creative Commons" is far too vague to be meaningful.
fwiw, http://google.ch/ is great for people in Switzerland.
Wow. (no pun intended). Who'd have thought bitching on /. would ever solve anything?
Thanks.

Yes. Yes I can.

The text of GPLv3 is not licensed for modification, sorry.

The Mediawiki software allows for marking edits as "patrolled" -- so the ability is there. As for wikipedia's policy...
I believe this article answers your question.
Katamari Damacy only has one sequel -- "We Love Katamari". Fun games, 'though.

"Poverty" is not a valid excuse.

Touché.... Revised. Is the revision more correct? ... Not that anyone cares anymore :)
My cyrillic comprehension is rusty, but I thought it was pronouncable...like "pooned" (like the animation from pwned.nl).
Read my mind...It's a member of the carp family, so I imagine it'd be cooked similarly...sure would take a lot of 'em to make a meal.

I looked at that and saw "Rossner" ... your last two letters are too backwards to make any sense (to me) ;)
