This has been explained many different ways in how Parker gets his web shooters. In some versions Parker is really smart and develops them him self, in others he not as smart but the spider bite leaves something in him that helps him develop them. In another version the shooters were developed by his father just before he died and Parkers new spider senses led him to modify them to shoot webs. Internalizing the web shooters was always explained as time saving sacrifice. It was just easier to spend 2 minuets having Parker discovering this ability and using it opposed to spending 20 minuets showing him designing and building web shooters and explaining why he decided to make them and how he even could.
I've personally always enjoyed the physical aspect of the web shooters, either the drama of any empty shooter at the wrong time or watching spidey mixing a new formula to make his webs stronger or more elastic. A favorite is from the original cartoon when Spider-man adds asbestos to his webbing.I can't remember why but it was to either make it fire proof or electrically non conductive.
Spider-man, giving the villains cancer one web at a time.
Sure they have the right to operate. But do they have the right to open up a store in the same strip mall called "WallMort", with the same blue colors and tacky look, that sells the same crap? Nope.
Sure they do, why the fuck wouldn't they? Anyone has the right to open a store of any size in any location and sell anything they want. The only thing they can't do is use the exact same name and logo. It can be blue but it just has to be different enough. Need a real life example. Look at all the dollar stores and all the similar stores to them. The 99 cent store, a buck or two, The Dollar store, A Buck and Up, ect... The same stores selling the same crap with smiler names in lots of places next to one another.
It would be neat if they could overlay existing billboards and bench ads with their own ads and clicking them brings up a larger view so that they are not obtrusive at all. Ads on existing billboards would make them expected and relevant to some degree. Or if your looking at a store front from street view there already is a link for that stores website (if existes). There is a right way to do advertising and a wrong way of shoving it in every corner you can.
That's easy. After years of studies and studies on mice and on people, there has been no consensus. Some studies say they do, others say they don't. Some say they have no frigging clue. Given that the theory of "cell phones cause cancer" is popular only through fear of the invisible and unknown forces by the ignorant masses, a slightly more intelligent group of people who visit/. choose to dismiss said theories because they choose to not be afraid of every rumor they hear of. I bet most people here didn't believe the video of the cell phones popping a single kernel of pop corn. Well maybe some did but I know I didn't.
Now about this new study, the general response has been either to make jokes or basically said, "That is interesting, I look forward to hearing more about it later." I haven't seen any posts of people shouting out "Cell phones are good for you!" In the future there will be more studies, maybe some on people, where we will get a clearer picture. If the results are just a muddy as cancer studies then we will dismiss the healing power of cell phones just as easily.
I know full well what I was taught and what I was not taught. How many test questions started with the phrase "In your own words..." The blanket rule was you do everything yourself to learn from it.
Things I was not taught were things like Fair Use or the real legalities of copyright or plagiarism because frankly I don't think the teachers understood them either.
How about the fear of copyright infringement or plagiarism. You grow up and go through school being told NOT to copy any one elses work, hand in your own work, you can be expelled from school for handing in work that is not yours, then one day people start telling you to stop "reinventing the wheel". There is code all ready written that does that. Copy and paste that in and your done. It's not easy to go against what a life time has taught you is wrong.
But there is a difference between doing something to make an employee happy and a token jester that makes the stupid employees happy. Some managers get this, some think that a pizza party solves everything.
It won't happen until a manufacture decides it needs a bigger edge in the market and offers it in their most expensive phone. Only then will other phone makers device to add it in their most expensive devices. Then finally another manufacturer will start adding it in their cheaper phones just to flood the market with it.
Actually it's been show that profiling makes things less safe. Let me explain.
There is a limited amount of resources to thoroughly inspect everyone. Most people like yourself get waved through. Lets say about 5% of people get the special treatment of a full inspection. That only changes when you either hire more staff to do more or choose not to inspect as many people as possible meaning less inspections.
Now lets start profiling and devote 4% to Muslims and shifty eye people and the nervous looking lot and still do 1% random inspection just so they can't call us raciest.
Want to know if your being profiled? Just start flying. Fly all over and see how often you get the special treatment. If you get pulled aside a few times, your probably not the best choice for carrying the bomb or knife or what ever.
Now if you get waved through all the time you know your not being profiled and have a much better chance of bringing something on board that isn't allowed. Before you had a 5% chance of being inspected but now there is only a 1% chance. Seems less safe to me.
Holy shit! What the hell are you selling? Life insurance or turnstiles that everyone is suggesting? It's exactly your type of attitude that has made airports as shitty as they are today, all with the premise of making things safer for everyone. Everyone needs to face the fact that at some point there will be another attack on American soil but it won't be for a long time and when it does happen, no one is going to predict how and where it's going to be done and all of these security measures won't mean a thing because security is going to be focused on guarding a door and they will use a window. Now for a quick reality check, your far more likely to die in a car accident going to or from the airport than you are from the plane crashing, let alone terrorist attack. So are you telling me Mr Safety that your going do drive slower than the limit or not drive at all because how much is it worth if you crashed doing 60mph (100kph) and killed your family? Still there are more dangers at home. Your even more likely to die falling down the stairs than all the above. You better hire a stair climbing expert to assist your family when you not home to help them yourself. Sure it could be expensive for you but is that what your going to be thinking about if you come home and find you mother dead at the bottom of the stairs with a broken neck?
If everyone stopped over reacting to nothing incidents, everyone would feel safer and happier but the problem is that if something does happen, no one wants to be caught with their pants down and loose face in the public eye which is mostly government leaders and the such.
They would still think it's justified. They are still scared shitless over 9/11 and other evil things that many Americans still think this shit is all a good idea.
I think I have a solution. We as Canadians should just reclassify all flights over American air space as Cargo Flights. No passengers to report. It's not like the plane is going to land in the States or they are going to pull over an aircraft for an inspection. Of course in an emergency situation where one does need to land in the states, it will be an unfortunate clerical error that lead the incorrect information to be given to the US.
Remember that the earth is round and the shortest rout on a 2d map isn't a straight line. There are curved paths that go into American air space that are actually shorter distances from Canadian city to Canadian city. In a time where airlines are reducing the size of flotation devices to save.1% in fuel costs, do you thing they are going to be happy about spending 10% more in fuel just to avoid American air space?
Now your confusing religious groups with activist or political groups. Just because a bunch of people get together to make sure religious groups don't define the rules for everyone, doesn't make them another religious group. I can state my religion as Jedi as a bunch of others may as well but it doesn't mean that were actually religious. It's just another way of stating that I believe in a story written by a man about men with extra human powers and advanced beings as much as the one George Lucas wrote.
I'd say about half of the companies on the list were failures due to lack of vision and avoidance on making changes. If they weren't so busy trying to squeeze every buck out of their old assets and actually invested in new tech, they would still be around as the giants they once were. Now that's not true for all of them Companies like Heathkit and Napster were victims of the times. Not all markets last forever.
You can say the same thing about street view. At first though there is no piratical use of other than that's kind of neat but Google is out there with a custom car and hardware mapping out the cities of the world. Google is the first and so far the only ones to do that and it's that type of attitude that made Google as successful as it is.
Let's show the world what the US can do when disaster strikes.
We watched during that Katrina thing and that was a joke, and it's still not fixed up yet.
Bah, this is like me claiming to be allergic to Oxygen and suing you to get you to turn off your fan for all the oxygen its producing.
I'd stop after putting him in a room.. Well I'd probably lock it too then walk away.
I've had sex, I'd like to try playing this now.
Can't wait to try it out.

I tried to simply search for a younger audience, now I think I'm on some FBI watch list.
