I'm more of an OSX fanatic then a Mac fanatic. But if you are using OSX, complaining about it being slow on a machine like that is like complaining about XP being slow on a p233 w/ 64mb of ram. They aren't that expensive: Apple Store And when you compare, keep in mind the crap you get when buying a bottom end PC. I have a hard time going back to my PC.
Usable isn't XP, it's OSX. I think the linux community should stop trying to copy something that is garbage produced by the evil empire. Copy something powerful and usable, like OSX. Or better yet, get some original ideas.
Not to harp on this guy, but i increasingly read that he's kind of an ass, was against mozilla being open because he was too fond of his baby Netscape (which had turned to crap under his rule). I am the lone developer of an application and what i want to point out is timing. Where's my millions of dollar? I want to open my own night club too. Ahh, venture capital. Where are you now.
It stands to reason therefore, that the most likely writers of spam are THE SAME ONES WHO PEDDLE ANTI-SPAM WARE.
Maybe you're right in some cases, but I take serious offence to that comment. I have spent countless hours perfecting and anti-spam solution. I offer it for free with a very reasonable costing upgrade option. And now someone comes along and says something like this?! Thanks for kicking me in the balls...
Maybe this little old lady had an open wireless network.
She pays her h4x0r neighbor kid to install her new Airport Extreme network, the kid opens it up and with the money she gives him he buys a cheap wireless card.
It turns out I was depressed. I used to just aimlessly drag boxes across my desktop, lost in my imagination. Maybe not getting work done is just a symptom of a bigger problem. Just a though.
When email was first designed it was a very open system with no real rules. What worked was good enough. The smtp protocol needs to be rewritten into something more advanced (amtp?) in order to prevent spam at the lowest (technological) level. If you can't sent spam you can't receive spam. It would all just disapear...
Old news! No one care about it then, not one will care now....
Is this a joke? He just asked for proof and you got modded up by offering none?
anyone ever try writing asm with debug.exe?
now that was fun
I like the cut of your jib. I want to code invisible assassin machines and send them to India!!
Now anyone with a computer can be famous!
All you need it tight pants and a sock roll.
The flashbacks are horrendous!
Blame in on the rain...

Wow, rafters? Is that thinking outside the box? Or missing the box altogether? I just jumped off the pad.

penetrate with what?!
(it better be a 10 foot pole!)
coming up with a solution for stupid people would solve a lot more problems then just spam...
Who the hell is making it worth while for these people to spam?! Maybe that's the question we should be coming up with a solution for.

There are some programs that let you choose how to deal with spam and save you bandwidth. (like the one in my sig)
10,000,000 ?!
What we need here is a new empire with army of cloned bounty hunters... or something!

Bingo Bango! All the free music he wants.

It's more like the tobacco companies suing smokers for quitting...
MS can pay to have their shit standardized all they want, it's not going to make people use it. It's still shit, just standardized shit.
If I can't go to the store and buy it, I should be allowed to copy it.

You're happy with AOL? Well I'm happy with Spam Interceptor. I don't need 7 million dollars to stop spammers.
Could law legilate the need for utilities like Spam Interceptor?
