    There's no doubt that part of my reluctance to use Firefox, even if it's just a small part, is Firefox evangelists. I use Avant Browser atm and that has all the extensions I need, and I can handle my own comp-sec, but tbh I switch to Firefox occasionally for bits and bobs and there's really very little difference.

    However the evangelists get on my wick, not least because most of them are just parroting propoganda, some of it quite likely made up on the spot by other evangelists. Ten gets you twenty 90% of them couldn't back up their "more secure" claims with actually technical details, for example.

    They're just a complete pain in the hole. I hate them.

    Sure, but at £25+vat for a 40gig drive, its not something you'll miss. Heck, its two days beer money!

    I humbly submit that any poster with an Irish surname that suggests that £25+vat is "two days beer money" should immediately forfeit said surname to the Irish Government for reprocessing. Any Irishman worth his salt knows that £25+vat is an hours beer money.

    FFS, the BSD daemon is a great opener. Client asks what it is, you tell them that it's the logo for the secure, stable operating system you run your office on. Client is impressed, you make big sale. If the client is offended, you turf them out because they're white trash morons that can't afford to buy anything bigger than a double-wide anyway.

    (I might add: why the hell are you booting FreeBSD anyway? If you can't afford the electricity to keep it running, you can't be much of an estate agent.)

    You'd wonder how long something like TypeKey will remain free though. Like Invision Power Board (and of course RealPlayer), they suffer from chronic We're-Not-Commercialising-But-We-Really-Are-And-We -Hope-You-Don't-Notice syndrome. Watching their site over the years has been like comical stop-motion-commercialism.

    There's nothing wrong with commercialism like, but seriously, piss or get off the pot.
