It redirects to Lincoln Memorial. While wikipedia is not the arbiter of all proper names, Lincoln Memorial is the preferred term there too.
Foreclosures are bad, school districts are laying off teachers, and small business startups are failing, but the USDJ will gladly spend the money appoint nine "experts" to figure out if someone's getting high or not.
They can do what they want. I don't care. It's a damned VIDEO GAME. And I'll play it, too, regardless. There are much more offensive things than then Taliban in games right now.
They're claiming he's wrong, not claiming he raped a truckload of cats. If he is really sending anti-defamation letters, he's just being butthurt that someone is calling him out.
The way patent law works now, nobody can just start up a business and invent shit. They need mountains upon mountains of patents to fight against other companies with mountains of patents. Then they need an army of lawyers to examine their inventions to make sure it doesn't violate any patents.
I applaud these guys for making a mockery of the USPTO, although they were beaten to it by the USPTO themselves.
Blizzard gave away every single copy of the game that everyone using private servers had.
They pirated nothing. They did, however, violate their Terms of Use.
This gives me an idea for a business...I'm going to create content, give it away (explicitly stating that nobody is allowed to use it except for posting on my own website), and demand a cool $80,000,000 from every person I catch using it.
Plaintiffs and defendants should just fax the judge their financial records for the last year.
Whoever has the most money wins the case.
That way, we could save taxpayer money and the verdicts would invariably come out the same way as they would have through trial.
It's funny how the ones who fight hardest against the spread of their works are, in effect, ensuring that their efforts will be forgotten and they will not leave a mark on gaming history. They are cementing themselves into a tomb of their own making, burying themselves alive.
Thanks to emulation, many of these older games have secured their spot in the memory of a digital society. Shame that the current generation of consoles is locked down in every way imaginable; perhaps historical obscurity is getting what they deserve. They will be remembered for their litigiousness rather than their art.
Here's a way to give the consumers better competition and get rid of a shady computer manufacturer: Seek punitive damages that are two thousand+ times the actual damages (set actual damages at an amount equal to Intel payoffs to dell). Everyone wins, except Dell, and good riddance.
I'm not sure if the company was being responsible our of their own sense of morality, or if they just didn't want to deal with government pressure in the form of subpoenas and warrants later.
There haven't been very many worldwide events in the current leading MMORPG. The gates of Ahn Quiraj was probably the coolest (and laggiest!) event I ever experienced before I quit.
I don't play STO, but I approve of any developer effort to keep a sense of wonder in the world.
I'm old enough to remember every promise Molyneux has ever made. I had subscriptions to EGM and Next Gen, so I'm well-read in the subject of 1990s video game lore right?
He talks a big talk, but either he misjudges his creation or the technology just isn't there to realize every dream he's had.
That is just your input lag. Normally, you experience very little input lag (less than 5 ms) on your own computer. Then you have to add your network response time on top of that. You're looking at 1/3rd to 1/2 second before you actually respond ingame. Say goodbye to all multiplayer that isn't turn-based.

Maybe I'd just like to be able to run my laptop off my...POWER TIE...badump TSSS
I'll be here all night!

Rather than shut down people who download a lot, they should prepare for people who download a lot.

I have a feeling that the millions spent professional argument will help society neither monetarily nor in technological advancement.
Skepticism is now defamation?

Yeah it was! The time lapse in "Jungles" was brilliant! I was just coming here to echo your sentiment.

XFX seems to be doing fine. They don't have all their eggs in one basket like BFG did.
I guess only baseless attacks are worthwhile. Giving a reasonable explanation for your attack isn't worthwhile.
Got it.
Maybe everyone in the UK should have their hands, feet, eyeballs, and vocal cords removed. Those can also be used to infringe on copyright.

I'll take less movies and music over a complete loss of individual rights.

First, there was Ecuador being a badass and throwing their president out for trying to violate the constitution.
Then Brazil barring claiming copyright on public domain.
Now Chile. Who would have thought that South America would be leading the charge for freedom and consumer rights in the digital age?
I couldn't figure out why my computer was running The Force Unleashed like crap until I fired up Fraps and discovered the cap.
