Smart nerds, CAN use iTunes, but they know there's something better right around the corner. Joe Sixpack usually doesn't care about seeking alternatives, Joe Sixpack thinks that laggy, bloated iTunes is normality, right next to fuel-guzzling SUVs and a carbon footprint the size of California.
I currently have a Cowon D2+ which I like. It's not perfect, but works well and the battery holds forever, I once forgot radio turned on on a Friday evening and on Monday morning it was still working with enough juice to last until I reached workplace, where I recharged it.
Wow, your history knowledge is unbelievably messed up. Moldova is indeed a former Soviet Union Republic. Others are not. Also, minimum legal age to drink alcoholic beverages is usually 18. That applies to both purchase AND drinking itself. But, to be honest, even if laws do exist, they need to also be enforced, which doesn't really happen.
Millions of people wash once every two weeks or less. Millions of people inject high-risk drugs in their veins. Millions of people beat their wives or girlfriends on a daily basis. Millions of people starve every day.
If you don't do as they do, you're a freak.
TL;DR: if millions of people do a thing, it doesn't mean it's the good thing to do.
I agree to this. Furthermore, some personal background for anyone who cares. The main reason which has stopped me from buying an iPod (though I like them a lot) was iTunes. I am a man with very simple needs. I need my MP3 player to connect through USB and be recognized as a drive, so that I can copy over whatever I want without the need of additional software. Sure, I can accept some tiny, fast software that acts as a middle-tier between my player and my PC, but iTunes was everything BUT that. Then again, were it an opt-in software, I would have used a workaround, but so far it was required, so no thanks. Make iTunes faster, smaller, simpler and I'll buy your nice iPods, because I like them, but right now, it's like buying a nice Ferrari with manure-filled seats.
Ask teenagers, see what they say. I heard many say "I have 500 friends" only to later find out they meant "Facebook friends" - but they don't tell the difference between true friends and online contacts. Yahoo Messenger got it right, it holds contacts. MSN messenger holds contacts as well. Facebook holds... friends (?)
Well, I was a *possible* customer but resisted buying it because I rarely use Linux and the price-to-usage ratio was too high. But now with my Linux usage growing constantly, I think it's a good idea to get CrossOver and see how good it is. It was convincing a few years ago, and it's even more convincing now.
Who knows, maybe in time I'll become an advocate and even completely switch to Linux if CrossOver supports most of the apps that I use (mostly games, TBH, but MS Office is a BIG part of what I do). 12 months of free usage is exactly what I need to renew my subscription.
Not being from the US, and the quote saying "anyone who visits...", what if I'm not eligible for a download? Guess that would make me "nobody", right? RIGHT?
The term "friends" lost all its weight since the advent of Social media. I resist this trend, that basically imposes the fact that any whoever who adds you to their account (or you add to yours) is a "friend". I call bullshit.
Yes, it is a good reason not to take the MEDIA seriously. Instead, people should visit whatever official weather websites are there for that area, read the data and make informed decisions. Here, media cries wolf every time temperature changes by more than 5 degrees Celsius during one day. Just a few months ago, a regular storm hit the city; a few trees and commercial panels were brought down, a couple underground passages were temporarily flooded and some scaffolding fell over an unlucky guy, killing him in the process. Expected stuff for a city with 2M people. But the media made it like the mother of all global storms had passed. "KILLER STORM" and whatnot.
So whenever I read news and they look inflated (that's most of the time), all I can say in return is "bitch, please!"
Voting for WHOM? There's no alternative, if you vote for the other guy you just exchange jackasses at a high level. Gratz.

In that case, you should really follow their lead, son. It would help BOTH of us, a LOT.

Hey, nice tip there. Thanks!

That Winamp which has become increasingly bloated and laggy as well? Go AIMP2 and never look back ;)

With such mad parents, they would probably have the baby wear thongs and make-up if born a girl.
And considering the two mistakes combined, I'd pick option #2.
Not to mention the amazing "your on the coast" thingie he spewed.
Volcano's what?
What, no cold Pizza slices? You inconsiderate clod!

It was a JOKE. Jay-oh-kay-ee!
Gee, that was a joke, but hey... you can't train humor if you don't have it :)

You forgot "make your account private" and "stop most Facebook apps from ever interfering with your account". Apart from that, what you said :)

Count me in. Oh and Adblock is the key.
Bullshit, it has nothing to do with infrastructure, but MONEY.

Only they DO control it.
