A Darwinist would never rely solely on his GPS as logic is his co pilot. The creationists on the other hand.....
Ok sorry I'm not really that mean but I'm on a bit of anti creationist thing lately. Queue the flame wars in 3.2.1
It's strategic thinning of targeted segments of the population. I expect the creationist sect to chime in any minute now with something about relying on technology too much./scorn
Economic advantage my ass. Flamethrowes are fun and that's all. Of course the downside of melting your 6' snow drifts with a flamethrower is a bunch of water which is just going to freeze anyway. I prefer to use the flamethrower mounted on my gun when I play Black Ops. It's much more fun that way. Just don't get me started on those damn Napalm strikes.
The constitution is starting to look like a bad joke.
I got news for you buddy, The constitution gets no respect from people in the congress that are supposedly representing us but taking payoffs from corporate or private interests. In fact the only people in this country that seem to believe in the constitution are the little guys like you and me that actually need some protection from the other group of assholes. What rock have you been living under anyway?
trying to understand this one. Stealing virtual money (chips) from a virtual world does not make it a virtual crime. I hope the judge is some old guy that can't even comprehend virtual worlds. If anything this should make for an interesting trial.
Risk is not the issue here. No law firm with some level of common sense would take on a class action law suit if they didn't think they would get paid in the end. If they claim to represent people who were involved then they need to give the people a bigger slice of the pie. Period.
Attorneys say they would file to have the case moved to class-action status, which makes the outcome relevant to all of AT&T's iPhone accounts.
It's always the same formula: Big company+lawyers+class action= law firm gets rich on billable hours and I get shit. Sure AT&T gets hurt which is a good thing but seriously there needs to be some sort of legislation on exactly how much law firms can charge when there is a class action suit. Then again I may not be affected as I'm grandfathered into an unlimited data plan. Oh well... Fuck AT&T.
They have been working on this for a while. I'll bet they don't have an X37B though. I find the quote at the bottom of the page a bit humorous though: "Man is a military animal, glories in gunpowder, and loves parade." P.J. Bailey. Can you say secret military satellite
You know what's going to happen. Attackers don't even need to hack the OS. They just need to convince hapless users that their phone has x number of viruses and click here to fix the problem. IOS5 + near field payment + attackers = profit
How are we going to rid the world of ignorant people who can't understnad that all people who believe in Islam are not terrorists and hate the western world. There are plenty of people (not peopel) in the world that interpret the Koran differently from terrorists that already have malice and hatred in their heart. And don't even get me started on all the bad shit the Catholic church has done in the past. You need to broaden your World view and let go of your own hatred.
Having had a read through the court docs that have come to light thus far, I'd say Geohotz has this case in the bag if his legal representation can stand up.
The problem with that statement is that justice in america is only for the rich and the corporations so unless he actually gets a judge that A- understands technology and B- is not unduly influenced by corporate interests he doesn't have a chance. Welcome to Amerika
This shouldn't even be an issue for Corporate networks as both of those sites are probably blacklisted on the proxy server. It's the end users at home that have to be worried about this. Oh wait.. I forgot, these are the same people who click the link when they get a popup "your computer is infected with 800 viruses. Click here to download super duper trojan ware. Never mind.
Is they don't want to be nailed for selling junk stock when that house of cards they call Facebook comes down. Meh no bfd they can keep their stock thanks anyway. I'm not some prolific investor but I prefer to invest what little money the government hasn't stolen from me in a real stock with a tangible value.
My government (for better or worse) can't seem to function properly unless we're at war with something or someone. This sort of behaviour seems to be inexorably linked to profit taking by multinational corporations and defense contractors. Same old crap.
LMFAO. I've got a magic ipad cover made by the same developer that got the specs on Ipad 2 which resulted in a leaked video from the last weeks CES show. I think I'm covered (at least till the next version comes out).

Enter the return of Sneakernet and the Avian protocol.

when a decent slideshow would do. I could care less what the gallery looks like but the Streetview interface is lousy for this purpose.
But it's not X of the century. It's the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize. There is a difference.

I don't know why people get freaked out about this. It's just another way to pay for things.
It's just another thing for people to hack. It's bad enough that Apple stores most of my credit card number on my Iphone.

Wish I hadn't posted since the above post re: the Iranian reactors lost to a worm is a perfect example of cyberwarfare.

He has a bad case of flash fever. Sorry it had to be said.

As long as we're paying for it Steve doesn't give a rats ass what the users want.
