    Hasn't it already been tested and settled (in the US) as a First Amendment right? People are free to photograph and shoot video of public spaces that have no expectation of privacy.

    But "not called out"? I haven't yet met either a programmer or a tester who wouldn't have at least tried out the 'null entry' scenario and flagged it as a problem..

    Have you never worked with offshore developers or testers? If it isn't itemized, they won't think to do it.

    It's not about overthrowing the government. It's about catching government officials who haven't submitted the proper bribes and kowtows to their superiors. When Officer X, behind on his payments, is on a "business trip" without leaving his home town, his AbnB can be raided and caught with one or more of his mistresses/boyfriends/whatever and hung out to dry as an example to others.

    When everything has to have a warning label the labels start being ignored. Maybe it's time to just start saying everything in California causes cancer and call it a day?

    My new camera had a sticker on it saying that this product contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer. How many Californians are eating cameras these days that such a sticker needs to be on them???

    Probably the only thing keeping the postal service afloat right now is Amazon. And pretty sure I pay sales tax on purchases through amazon if purchased from amazon.

    1. The post office runs a deficit of about $5 billion per year when you include their retirement funding requirements, so in a very strong sense they are undercharging for delivery or overpaying for retirement. Either way, the taxpayers in general are supporting delivery instead of the deliverer/deliveree.
    2. There is no federal government sales tax, of which Trump is the chief executive. From his department's point of view, Amazon pays little tax. Your local state/city/county government gets the sales taxes collected by Amazon during your purchases.

    This is why I had to uninstall my bank's app after a new version demanded access to contact list, etc. I never install the customer loyalty apps from any of the chain stores or restaurants; they all want this stuff and it's too instantaneous to say "oh, just use targeted permissions after installation". Nope; it will suck down your contacts and sms history faster than you can switch over to lock it down.
