    For the same price you could get a nice full-frame 35mm DSLR, and some good glass. I'd wager it would be a wee bit more usable too.

    Most people have fear of imminent death when being robbed, whether the fear is entirely rational or not. Don't try and tell me no one has been shot over stealing $50 items, it happens all the time.

    I never claimed you were a nut for carrying, and I rather like guns myself. I was merely posting what Christ had to say about it.

    This discrepancy between what Christ taught and what a lot of "Christians" practice is what led me to atheism in my formative years. How people can kill over material goods, especially incredibly low value ones, and believe they are acting as god would want is entirely beyond me.

    Apple? Supposedly, they're going to buy ARM. Why? So they can shut down all the competing ARM devices.

    Is that even possible? I know ARM licensed out tech to a whole bunch of outfits, ST, TI, Atmel, etc, etc. I don't know if those were one-time deals, or if they have to renew annually, or whatnot. Either way, I'm sure whatever was signed should still hold for a while, even if ARM was bought out. Doesn't seem feasible, not to mention 99.9999% of ARMs aren't in apple products; They're in toasters, coffee machines, microwaves, gameboys and 1000 different cellphones, etc, etc.

    also, fuck apple.

    Last I checked copper Gb ethernet needs 4 pair, and is only good for 100m.
    Not much good unless you live inside the central office.

    avg dose of the strongest cigarettes is 1 - 1.5mg.

    100g of tylenol will kill you, but at the normal (500mg - 1g) dose it doesn't, and isn't recognized as harmful at that dose.

    So if you smoke a carton in one seating it might be an issue.

    There isn't 600 additives, and they don't add toxic stuff for the fun of it.

    When you burn organic material it makes a bunch of combustion products, and a lot of them are bad. It's not like they're pouring benzene and cyanide into the tobacco before they roll it; They naturally occur during combustion.

    Not everyone has a phone that can run an IM client. My phone can, but I don't run one because data rates are mind-numbingly insanely fucking high here.
