Android 4.0 now lets you monitor your bandwidth consumed over 3g. Which shared data then renders useless!
Here's hoping the next version of android (4.2/5.0/Candy Cane/Kandy Kane/whatever) will you link phones together and show usage of all of them combined. That would be a useful feature.
an even better security measure would be to allow the user to prevent access to a certain permission, while still allowing the app to think it has that permission (call it "permission spoofing"). that way if the app doesn't really need the permission, it will work just fine without it. worst case is the app stops working and you have to restart (or uninstall) it.
You can do this with many custom roms by default, or with the Permissions Denied app, provided you have at least root on your stock rom. I disable permissions on some apps, and generally find that they force close fairly soon, if not instantly, after starting the app.
(Yes, the liquid turns to a gas and then kind of dissolves itself in the liquid, but it turns out that a gaseous form of a substance dissolved in the liquid form of that same substance is indistinguishable from the liquid itself.)
This sounds interesting. Do you have a wiki or other link I can go to? I'd enjoy reading about this.
The first thing that comes to my mind is Adventures in Odyssey, which is a Christian radio broadcast. Whit, a main character and inventor, has a really advanced computer program with a voice interface named Mabel (kind of like Jarvis from Iron Man).
Well, there's really only one thing you can do with all dead. Go through their clothes and look for loose change. Oh, and take they're larynx, too. Actually, I've heard they do that with mostly dead people, too, so nevermind.
Actually, they specifically took the weight out of the equation. They didn't start calculating the loss of fuel until after getting up to a certain speed. So I highly doubt it got better gas mileage from 0-60, since the added mass definitely took a toll. But keeping a vehicle at constant speed negates (for the most part) any weight, allowing them to measure the fuel efficiency based mainly on the shape of the car.
For those who didn't see the episode, here is what they did (in a little more detail).
They set up a long track with a start and end point. They accelerated a car way before the start point, and kept it at a constant speed from the start point to the end point, only calculating fuel efficiency from that point.
After that, they added a whole bunch of clay to the car. They shaped it to the car's mold, then did another test.
Then, they cut dimples out, making it look like a golf ball. They put the cut-out clay in a box in the car, so that it weighed the same. Then they tested the gas mileage.
The car with the dimples got better gas milage than both the smooth-clay car and the car before any clay.
While it's true that wireless is not affected by the microwave radiation, a microwave could still cause interference based on power usage. I know that whenever our blender is turned on, our tv (crt) shows wavy lines.
All that being moot when talking about neighbor interference. I don't think one could interfere with another house by using electricity (aside from causing a brownout/blackout).
We are a lot closer to mars than to the sun, and it only takes 8 minutes or so for light to travel from the sun to us (if I remember my 4th grade science correctly).

Are you a man or a muppet?

You're thinking of the word 'ideal'. 'Best' is simply a comparison between current products.

Being nit-picky, Google is not a generic term. The word it is derived from, googol, is a generic term.
Actually, the commandment is to not murder. One is allowed to kill in certain instances, such as war.
But I wouldn't actually call any of them a computer.
Well hello there, Steve Jobs.
Perhaps you were being sarcastic, but doesn't unanimous mean everyone agrees, and not just a majority?
You would have been fine, except you didn't post anonymously.
Indian law, like US law is based on British Common law (both being a former colony and all). The basic principles are likely to be very similar.
Fixed that for ya.
Except it would 'spill' into a sphere, floating slowly toward the laptop. But you're right in that it would still ruin the computer.

Too bad Geocities is gone for good.
In fact, the current produced during braking is probably less than that required during acceleration.
It has to be, or else you break the laws of physics and create a perpetual motion machine.
I don't know of any PS/2 single-button mouses. Go for the original RJ11 connector! My mac plus mouse would be useful again.
(Per your signature), isn't the site slashdot.org, not slashdot.com? Unless there is a joke I am missing here...
Or if there isn't a write protect tab, just put tape over the hole.
