oh wow I accidentally hit the period button I guess that destroys my whole point. Your like a Republican. "Hey look you messed up so now I don't have to defend my views"
To me, user incompetence is more of an explanation for why this took 2.5 years, how it went on for so long despite common tools that could have alerted users early on that something suspicious was going on. The legions of users who have malware-infested Windows machines and don't think about it any more than to say "gee my machine is slow these days" help to illustrate the plausibility of my point.
You are still saying that to you it makes sense that this went unnoticed for so long because of incompetence which would mean out of the thousands of people who bought this not one met your level user competence.
He moved up from janitor to... designated ink reloader? I was expecting a bit more "riches" in this rags to riches story.
My brother-in-law is an executive for a printing company. He moved up through the ranks. Started out cleaning bathrooms, and spent years reloading ink into massive printers. His company like many others got bought up, and he has seen the company that bought his be bought by a yet larger company. Most large scale printing has been consolidated into a few large companies.
See we learned something today. Its called reading everything. Have a good day kids.
3.1 was awesome I still remember the days of messing around on it accidentally deleting the file manager and watching my god mothers son spend hours reinstalling first dos then windows with big ass 5 1/2in floppies
Well I actually have a lot to say about this but I am not going to do it. I got to watch my mom die screaming in pain b/c of cancer. We only knew she had it when she went to the hospital. She was in the hospital only 3 weeks. She died at 42 the day before her 43rd birthday. She didn't go out peacefully she was afraid. The doctors wanted her to go to hospice she wouldn't because she couldn't handle the fact that she was dying and nothing was going to stop the cancer in the 7 different organs it spread too. After she died I had to drop out of high school to take care of my disabled father and two underage brothers. If she would have went to hospice the bills would have been much lower. But if she did that I think she would have lost the little hope she still had left. I'm not sure what the best choice was even now but when someone is in so much pain that you pray to a god your not even sure exists to end there suffering even through death it kinda clouds your judgment. I could get into it alot more give all the details but hopefully you understand those decisions are ones you have to live with the rest of your life. The kind that will haunt you in your daydreams and dreams.
The best teacher I ever had was my American History teacher at the second high school i went to. the crazy thing about it is that I already took and aced American History but because of problems with my old school none of my credits transferred and I had to start from scratch. What made him a great teacher was that he believed in what he taught. He was the only teacher I had that would take an entire class period to tell us personal stories related to the subject. Such as he was one of the main students behind the Kent State Massacre (was actually portrayed in a movie about it) he talked about how they said they were going to napalm a dog. He used to talk about how he would retire ever 5 years or so and take his pension or whatever it was and go exploring the world. Stories about the Amazon and about temples in Tibet. Even a few of when he was young backpacking through Europe and getting woke up to the sound of a hay baler when he was sleeping in someones barn. The guy had passion anytime we watched a movie or documentary on WWII he would start screaming at the TV with his fists clenched "kill those Nazi bastards" was a regular thing you could hear out of his classroom. Like I said I already took an aced the class before but that didn't stop him from teaching me new things and pointing out the very important pasts of history the things that caused all the other stuff to happen. Oh an on top of that he would smoke a joint in the parking lot with a few of the seniors. Oh and I just found this his interview about the Kent State Massacre http://speccoll.library.kent.edu/4may70/oralhistory/arthrell.html
My 1st grade son is computer/electronics savvy but I'm not letting him handle a DVD by himself just yet.
Then he must not be very "computer/electronics savvy". I swear, parents nowadays are crazy as outhouse rats... When I was in first grade I knew how to mix mom's drinks as well as serving as her DJ. Kids are so much more capable than you think!
When you live in Cleveland Ohio and every Popeye's and KFC has a 90%+ black costumer base would it still be racist to say that in Cleveland black's love thier fried chicken more than white's?
Sorry but my father lost his license after he had a stroke. He was a truck driver for 29 years and it really messed him up that he couldn't drive anymore. But people with certain medical conditions just shouldn't drive. If there is a chance that you could seiz while on the highway during rush hour you don't need a license. Even with a min or two notice it doesn't mean you can make it to the side of the road to stop. It might be unfair but how much worse would the person feel if they killed someone. Hell a guy had a diabetic seizure in a 25mph zone and drove up the stairs of my church and smashed into the building. Now if it was a sunday after mass that could have been horrendous.
Now, if you're serious about trying to work with Linux like I am, you do
what I do. You go out and purchase hardware that it is designed to work with.
Kind of like what you do with OSX. You wouldn't try to run Windows on
an old powermac would you? Of course not, you know it wasn't designed for that.
I hope I haven't been unclear.
I think that is one of the biggest problem with Linux. When I was younger and had a few extra junk computers laying around I tried to get into Linux (Mandrake) for fun. Unfortunately I could never get the sound to work properly I went on forum after forum and was told that I needed to change my kernel to get the drivers I needed to work (I have no clue if this info was correct) so after a few weeks of tinkering and whatnot I finally gave up. It was that experience that almost completely ruined Linux for me. Now if I could find drivers for my legacy 2wire wireless adapter I might actually be running Ubuntu now instead of win7. So from my own experience the difficulty just getting your sound or video card to work with Linux is what will keep it from becoming a real contender in the desktop battle.

You act like in the 2 1/.2 years that this has been going on not one competent computer user ever used that charger.
what about sweat glands? sure they are small but you can't dismiss them.

It kinda reminds me of this one time at band camp... Oh wait those references haven't been funny for something like 10 years.

So how was living in that double-wide growing up?
When you live in Cleveland Ohio and every Popeye's and KFC has a 90%+ black costumer base would it still be racist to say that in Cleveland black's love thier fried chicken more than white's?
That's how
And he had to walk uphill to and from school with no shoes in winter too.

Damn it always being redundant and late.
Thats Samuel L. Jackson's next movie "Tentacles on a muthafuckin' Plane"
In Soviet Russia President blames you
I would have put them on Craig's List but I don't trust a web site where they let just anybody post things.
So I take it you never heard of our Anonymous Cowards
If I could find a video player that allowed me to speed up the film say 1.5x but still keep the sound the same pitch I would be very happy
Just bought that. I'm willing to give it another chance. I think I'll go with Ubuntu this time though.
1....2....Oh my god its Laptop and he brought a chair!!

Probably meant $600 just from his card douche nozzle.
If the world was ran by midgets would we still have "you must be this tall" signs for amusement park rides?
