Thanks for the defense guys. Any you are correct. A typical 1/2 hour show is taking up .5-.8 gb in my current encoding scheme. The fact that most of the stuff I have it saving are anime, it really hurts the encoders due to ever so slight differences in color from frame to frame. So when I have it in 32bit color, just about every frame has a different color, so very little gets stripped out with MPEG2 or Divix, due to the way they encode and compress the images from frame to frame based on the previous frame's color for that pixel.

Anyway, I've been thinking of getting 2 more hard drives and adding them to my existing raid, but that would max out the space and probably exceede the load on my power supply (I am already out of 12V rails and have 3 splitters already powering different equipment).

Anyway it can't hurt especially if it saves me some space (you would be surprised how fast you can fill up 1/2 a terrabyte with video capturing).

They get stuck, and Christianity (as a Jewish sect) is the worst of the lot, as its history dates more or less 4000 years into the past.

I'm still trying to figure out your "4000 years" quote. It has always been my understanding that Christianity developed around 1900 years ago with the spreading of the Christian faith by Paul and Peter during the early 60-100 CE. Heck, the date we currently use is bassed of a rough calculation of the approximate year of the birth of Jesus, so its kind of hard for me to figure out how you have "4000 years into the past" for when Christianity started...

One thing to note is that origionally, Christianity was setup in such a way that there were very few "laws" and "rules" and it flourished as a result of not having any strict "rules". There was the belief in God, his son, and in life after death. Things all changed when the Roman Empire collapsed and anarchy ruled what was left of the known world, and the people turned to the "church" for leadership and created a vast power structure and law structure for ruling and controlling the known world. This is when things solidified into the "Roman Catholic Church", away from the origional ideas and non-structure of the early Christian teachings and belief system.

With that early power struggle, the repression of women was allowed to propogate. The very early Christian church had a very powerful leader, Mary Magdalin, who without her help, Christianity would most likely not exist today. But she fell the victim of the current belief of the time that women should not be allowed to be equals as men, and was summerily deified as a "whore to pity and forgive" for centuries.

Anyway, back on topic, Christianity itself has evolved several times over the 2000 years of its existiance, but there are some forms that have changed less then others. I do think that we will live to see the Roman Catholic Church allow women as priests and to allow priest to marry. These two changes would also be the only difference between the Roman Catholic Church and several others, allowing for the possibility of a reformation of those religions back into the Catholic Church. Yes, religion does change, it has to. Either it changes or society as a whole stagnates, as it is still contains a huge amount of power to guide people.

Anyway, if you can get a clearance then you are very much in demand. It costs around $50-200k for a company to get you a clearance (this is what it costs for the paperwork and background checks, with the costs ranging for the different levels of clearance), and that doesn't even gaurenty that you will even recieve a clearance. So, if you have an oppertunity of working for a place that will get you a clearance, it is in their interest to keep you as happy employee for at least a little while to make up for the huge investment they have already put into you (but take that with a grain of salt as well, since they will be putting up a large investment into you so it can be harder to get hired). But, once you have clearance, you have a VERY BIG TICKET item in negotiations with other companies that also require security clearances.

In any case, THIS IS EXEMPT! Read the DMCA under 6 exemptions:

But on the other hand, the AMD opteron's will continue to gain performance with the addition of more CPU's and will gain more and more performance. The benchmarks were not completed in the 4 way systems simply because Intel was approx ~70-80% slower then the AMD. Back to topic, I personally would look into some of the Russian sites previously mentioned here. Most countried have laws in place that force the copyrights to be recognized across borders so if you purchase it in one country legally, then it is legally bound in the other country as well. A while back there was a big discussion about some of these sites on /. and the overall consensus was that those songs would be legal in the US if you purchased them from some of those Russian sites, as those sites legally obtained the rights to distribute the content in accordance with Russian copyright laws.

Even though it works out to about $.90 an album, it is a legally obtained album. Most news networks/sites in the US will not cover this topic because many are fully or partly owned by many of the big media corporations, and they don't want you to know that you can do this legally.

All MS needs to do is write an emulator driver that reads the standard API that the games used and have functions that do the same or similar effect on the new ATI GPU. All they have to do is basically write all the function calls that were issued to the GPU. This is not hard to do especially since EVERYTHING here is a "standard" for coding games on XBox and thus all graphic functions are fully documented on their API's and overview of thier output/result. Now if NVidia claims they have sole ownership to the API then we have a new ballgame, but usually this API is not owned by the graphics company (but this is a console, so I don't know for fact), but by the OS or Standard Group (i.e. DirectX, OpenGL, etc.).

Basically the jist has been that the people they are sending these out to are ones that do not have an alternative source for broadband (or at least a "competitive source"). This is the only real trend that people have been able to discover. The other trend is that unless you SEVERLY DECREASE your downloads (i.e. basically pull out the plug from your connection for the next 3 weeks for 24 hours a day), you will most likely be terminated and/or forced to pay an additional fee and deal with their support people (well not really the support people but their violations people). The main complaint is that they are advertizing as unlimited downloads, when in fact they mean "read your email and browse to cnn.com, and/or msnbc.com, but if you do anything else with your bandwidth you will be violating the TOS". But like I said, it seems to be targeted at areas that do not have alternatives like DSL or other cable modem broadband services (because they would definitly lose their customers in those areas).
